It has some brilliant mods.
You either love or hate it.
I love it because it's not the same as every other post-apocalyptic game and it's the best atmosphere I've ever encountered.
I recommend getting mods for this, they make it tons better.

I mean, come on! I can buy S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Clear Sky in germany, but not Shadow of Chernobyl? That's just stupid.
Bought it a month ago, shame.
Christ, it's really boring, and those fuckers shoot you to shit the moment you move one inch away from your cover.
And you have to go forward and backwards a shitload of times, a bit to grindy for my taste.
And I hate the radiation. Cool feature, but annoying in the long run.

Hey I only have a geForce fx 5200 not a 5700 like the minimum, could I still play this albeit a bit slower?
Or will my card not reach certain requirements that will break the game? I really want this game
I love sitting next to other stalkers by the fire and listening to them talk and play guitar...it's relaxing.
