For everybody under 12. An adventure game was an old type of game that used to be as popular as FPS. However it died out in the 90's as the lead developers of adventure games (Lucas Arts) started making shitty Star Wars games. Adventure games required a lot of thinking and where usually laced with witty humour. Adventure games were for the sophisticated gamer. Games like Monkey Island, Full Throttle and Sam and Max became treasured classics even today. Without them Dave Grossman would never of found his fortune and be able to produce some great games you appreciate today. Today they are rare but have been making a come back thanks to an independent games company Telltale. Telltale release a new adventure game monthly. They spend a month or two planning, then they spend two or three months creating the games. This allows them to take fan feedback and suggestions for future games. Sadly this quick development and the fact Telltale isn't a huge company means the graphics suffer. However the gamplay is clever and the comedy is fantastic. Because Wallace and Grommit is 20 years old they are giving away one episode of their Wallace and Grommit series for free! If you like adventure games/Wallace and Grommit I highly reccomend it. Afterall it is free. It could be an excelent opurtunity to try out the adventure genre. The deal has 3 days left so get to it men. And yes this is a little late but unless you are a Telltale fan or visit Steam news/news node, you probably knew nothing about this. And free games are never late, they arrive just when they want to.
I disagree with your statement about Star Wars games.
