Trackmania is a series of racing games where the player creates their own race tracks.

Trackmania and Trackmania Sunrise: Old Trackmania games, included in Trackmania United.
Trackmania Nations ESWC: First free Trackmania game. Replaced by Nations Forever.

Nations Forever:
The free game. You can get it from Steam. It only has the Stadium environment, but that's what most people play anyway.
United Forever: All of the things in Trackmania Nations, plus the environments form the previous games. United also lets you use custom car models. IT's basically all the Trackmania games combined into one.
DS/Wii games: They exist. I've never played them so i can't tell you much about them.
ManiaPlanet: Nadeo's next 3 games, which will all use the same engine. http://www.maniaplanet.com
Trackmania 2: Supposedly coming out in 2011

Questmania: The same concept, but for RPGs

Or just search for it on Steam.
I can't wait for Trackmania 2. I love the adrenaline rush this game gives you, and even though it's a bit old, it still looks gorgeous.

It reminds me of F-zero X but modern. I need to start playing this game again...
Also I like how the free game players can play alongside the paying players with no restrictions. You wouldn't see many other companies doing that.

i cannot wait until maniaplanet comes out...
i wonder if you will get all the games in one box, or if you will have to buy the shootmania, questmania and trackmania 2 seperatly...

Woah woah woah. What. WHAT.
Frickin' awesome! I love Trackmania United. If all three of those are in the same box and it doesn't have Ubi's DRM, I'd be all over that.

Added to the OP
Wait, so according to the title the game has dual core support?
Awesome.
I'm trying to make a track that uses every block, but I really hate some of them. (Like the holes in the track, and poles)

I believe Nadeo plans to sell them separately, and release new environments for each every 3 months, that you have to buy to use :frown:

wait what, shootmania and questmania? what's this wizardry.
anyway trackmania is one of my alltime favourite games, i have the special edition (the one with all the blocks, original TM) and the new one with all those fancy modern tracks :v: it's so gog damn fun
I loved Trackmania. I got United when it first came out, and played it for a while. The last time I played it was when there was one of those championship things, where it had a bunch of custom maps that were played around in order. The bad thing was that even though I played on the maps, I couldn't play them anymore in singleplayer. Which puzzled me, because I could in Nations.

im pretty sure some servers let you keep the maps and some dont, it's a toggleable option, which would make sense because you could go back to SP, practice a bunch, and then come back and play on said maps and rape everyone because you know all the l33t tricks
I have a copy of Sunrise.
The graphics actually look a bit nicer in this game than United Forever, to say the least, and the painter was a whole lot better. I also own a copy of Original but the updater for 1.50 to 1.52 (vista patch) says it's not installed on my computer :saddowns:
I just reinstalled Nations thanks to this thread. I grew to love it as it was all I could play for a while on my old PC. But god it looks awesome on max graphics.
I used to play United all the time, managed to get quite high in the UK rankings at one point. That was like 2 years ago though :v:.
I love Trackmania, will be getting the second one definitely.
I hate what they have done to the multiplayer with the "Freezone" thing. 5 tracks, then sit one out unless you pay to upgrde your account.
I remember ages my friend lent me a Trackmania demo CD he got in the paper. Good times.
I used to play this game at a really high level, with all the Team UK players and in all the leagues, i did lose a bit of interest, but nothing satisfies me more than joining a server and coming top out of like 100 people :D
Looking forward to Shootmania.
The loops, they were awesome.
I haven't played TM in a while... I suddenly feel like firing it up again. I wonder if my favourite server is still online.
Shootmania is apparently going to have an in-game scripting editor to help you create your own gamemodes. Not sure about the other Maniaplanet games.

I just set it to the worst ranked country. I'm top 10 in Kuwait :v:
Don't even bother with Trackmania Nations, they've completely fucking neutered it with their "freezone" bullshit.
Bought every version of trackmania yet and I'll sure buy trackmania 2 as soon as it come out.
I would love to play this again, but I get this screen when I try to play it:
The thing is, I've already restarted my computer. If it helps, I'm running windows 7.
EDIT:

And here's another problem. Great. I never recived a "player key" whatever that is.

CD key.
I remember how I used to spend hours and hours in a single day finding skins for trackmania cars.
Good Times.
