*OKAY IT SEEMS THERE ARE SOME OTHER MODS OUT THE LIKE THIS, JUST FORGET I SAID ANYTHING*
Hey guys, Ive recently gotten bored of making Garry's mod maps and wanted to create a mod called Parkour: Source. If you didn't already predict this, it will be a racing multilayer mod that will take ideas from the very popular game Mirror's Edge. Players will have to think about there surrounding environment and will have to find ways to get to the finish line. Of course, people could follow other people around like a n00b and fail that way, or they could find new ways to get through. But the focus of the mod is racing, something that Mirror's Edge lacked and tried to make up for with leader boards. I plan to have a system like this too, however, as a optional single player addition to the game.
I plan to have a lot of cool features and things like chose able and customizable characters.
This can ONLY happen however if this mod gets enough positive reviews and people are willing to help out. I'm still starting out with making games and maps and things. Which is why I would need a lot of help from experienced users to help me with learning/making things for the mod.
If this sounds fun and like a good idea to you, please comment below. If it sounds like a really bad idea to you, then PLEASE say so nicely. Remember this will be my first mod, and its going to be BIG.
What this means for you of course would be
-Very long dev. time
-Very frequent updates
-Not such a polished game experience until we (dev. team) really have had some time to work on it for a while and we have gotten sufficient help
-And maybe sort of a drag for you to experience the above (of course!) {eg. having to worry about checking for updates, experiencing bugs, having to wait for long periods of time....}
If I can't make the mod, I do hope at least someone can, because it really sounds like fun!
