Zeno Clash is a first person fighting game with elements of first person shooters based around the Source engine. It is set in the land of Zenozoik, a strange place filled with bizarre creatures, plants, people and landscapes. The story revolves around Father-Mother, a hermaphroditic creature who is head of a large family based in the small village of Halstedom. Ghat (left on poster) is a son of Father-Mother, and also Father-Mother's killer. The game begins with Ghat destroying Father-Mother with a bomb, although he refuses to tell his companion Deadre (right on poster) why he did it. Ghat's many brothers and sisters discover what he has done and are determined to hunt him down and kill him. The game chronicles where Ghat and Deadre go after escaping Halstedom, as well as Ghat explaining the events leading up to the death of Father-Mother.

The game also features two extra modes once you finish the campaign: Zeno Rush and Tower Challenge. Zeno Rush is a speed challenge, testing your ability to get through the level as fast as you can, as seen here:

Tower Challenge mode features 8 levels: 5 Towers and 3 Pits. On the Tower levels, your objective is to climb the tower as fast as possible, by defeated every enemy on the floor to summon the staircase. The Pit levels entail carefully making your way down a huge shaft, defeating enemies and dropping skull bombs to break the floor open along the way.
Zeno Clash: Ultimate Edition is now available on Xbox Live Arcade for 1200 Microsoft Points. Try not to think of it as a port, think of it as an upgrade. I bought this and it's already my most played XBLA game. The only real problem is nobody else plays it, so cooperative mode's out of the question. Do yourself a favour and try the demo out, you definitely won't regret it.
So do PC players not get any of this? That would rather suck.

Not yet, but I reckon there'll be an update soon.
Well to be honest the game is quite crazy. This is defnitely a must have for everyone who likes a crazy setting and nice gameplay. The developpers did a good job at using the source engine and creating a living environement. The battle mechanics are quite well made. Also the characters are very cool, the only thing that annoys are the guns and the extreme linear short campaign.
