Is COD:MW2 Really Worth Buying? - Games

Its Just a question that Really, only requires a yes/no answer and a reason why. I held up buying it to see whether buying it or not, because with all the hype about it i really didnt want to be dissapointed with it if the worst came to the worst. So, If you think its worth buying, Please say which version you have (PC, XBox, Ps3 etc) Thanks In advance.

Yes. I got it for the PC for $53 and I just completed the No Russia level, it's worth it even if I haven't played MP. Stop making stupid polls.

[/QUOTE] Completely different games so it's dependant on your tastes. I personally think MW2 is great and worth the money I spent on it, others may disagree but I love it. I'm not going to say it's shit just because it's popular.

i bought it for the PC and so far i'm not sure if the game was worth it. the MP has too many issues, but the core gameplay (of both the SP and MP) is really fun. also, i don't think IW/Activision deserved the extra 10$ they charged for the game, and i'm pretty sure it's the last game i'm buying from them.

Read the blogs, read the posts on forums, look through the bugs and techincal sections and see what problems people are having. Do some REAL fucking research. Mainstream review sites don't know shit. Infact, it was IGN that rated Mount & Blade 8.0, and anyone who has played that game knows it deserves more. Infact, many of the comments on the review say just that. And just to provide another comparison, Mass Effect got 9.4. IGN is basically saying MW2 is as good as Mass Effect, which we all know just isn't true. And how can anyone justify the extra $10 (or more...)? It just isn't worth it, especially with other, better games coming so soon, like Bad Company 2 and hell, L4D2 tomorrow.

Yeah these mainstream reviewers get paid for big numbers. They don't reflect how good the game is, but how rich the company paying is.

Makes sense why any Halo games are instantly rated 5/5 or 10/10 or whatever. :rolleyes:

Modern Warfare 2 rocks ass. If you say it's bad, then wait till you fucking try it. 3rd person should suck right? It's my preferred gamemode now. Oh yeah, no dedicated servers? You can go in parties with your mates, it auto finds the best server, with best host for your performance to go up.

It's probably worth buying, just not for the price its at right now. I'm waiting until some deals come up or when it becomes $30 or $40.
