Lookin' for a scary game - Games

Yeah, just looking for one. Needs to have decent graphics though. And something in the Penumbra kind of scary. Thank y'all :buddy:

Penumbra Overture and Penumbra Black Plague. Shit, didn't read the OP properly. Anyways Amnesia (also known as Unknown or Lux Tenebra) should be coming out soon (a few months) and is the spiritual sequel of Penumbra.

Penumbra ain't scary. I don't get FP's obsession with that game. Penumbra's mediocre.

Fairly easy, but takes some practice, just grab your barrel and watch the dog, creep slowly while crouched, and you will get it. Remember to hide behind objects, and don't move if the dog comes near.

Any Silent Hill game, they all look fantastic.

Pfft good graphics, true horror comes from being chased by the sprite of a kid wielding a pair of giant shears. I guess you could try Clock Tower 3. Silent Hill games are pretty much the top of the list though, everything else doesn't quite compare.

It's not exactly focused on scary but STALKER gets pretty scary sometimes.

And the game isn't afraid to actually kill you versus just shocking you like Doom 3 or FEAR.

Condemned. The school part is propably the coolest thing i've seen in a game.

If you like Penumbra then definitely get Condemned Criminal Origins (first game).

Because, if it just revolves at you not having a weapon to defend yourself, then its not that scary, but if it is kinda like I explained it, then.... O.O

Penumbra is a mix of atmosphere and avoiding things that will kill you. The atmosphere will have you shitting your pants alone.

I didn't find penumbra that scary to be honest. It's atmosphere was well done though. I agree though that, Condemned, the first play through.. Scared the living crap out of me. Then again, I played it at midnight, with my headphones on. Cause I do that.

Penemubra is overrated. Play Silent Hill 3, scarier than two; But not as superior in story. Honestly. FP isn't a good place to ask this. As the majority of the people have Frictional Games' cock up their ass as they gargle Monolith Studios' balls.

Of course, since you've met everyone who's played it, I'm sure that you know better than I.

Condemned probably scared me the most out of any game I've played. Penumbra was pretty scary, but I didn't enjoy the gameplay that much. Dead Space had many good scares and is a great game overall.
