• Conquest! A Simcity RTS mix in Minecraft!

Welcome to Conquest! Where you build a village, defend it! Destroy other villages! Praise the gods or be destroyed by the gods! And more in my little minecraft game I'm creating. Core Concept: The game is based on you managing a village and having the most villagers by the end of the game. Of course there are many twists to just building a village for villagers. First off, the rules of the actual game. Rules: 1. No completely underground buildings. 2. No floating houses 3. Make sure your village is accessible to mobs and other players. 4. You can team up with other leaders but only one can win in free for all matches. 5. No rare materials/blocks in houses (Diamond blocks, iron blocks, gold blocks, any ore block, obsidian, enchanting tables, bookshelves, and other rarer blocks) 6. ABSOLUTELY no secret storages filled with stuff. If i see you with rare materials right off the bat consequences will be had. 7. Have fun damit. 8. Villagers can't be killed directly, they must be killed undirectly (TnT cannons, Leading into flames, Leading mobs in, Traps, etc) 9.PvP and greifing is allowed but only after the first day and night of phase 2, also no spawn camping, lava at their bed, and things that they can't recover from. Now we move on the core gameplay. Phase 1: You must build a village, or well a small little lot of buildings. You will have a 1-2 hours to build a village for your villagers. The gamemode will be on hard difficulty so defending your village is crucial. Walls are obviously allowed, but make sure you have enough time to do so. At first you had over 4 hours to build and once the first day of hosting went by the next day we started. This proofed to boring for my play testers because it took to long. Now its a hour or two. You must build enough "house" for 4 villagers given to you after phase 1. Allow rooms, more buildings, and such for them to breed and so your population can rise. During this phase no PVP is allowed, its in peaceful, and your in creative for this phase as well. Once you built your villages i will tell everyone to type their cords and allow everyone to go and put it at spawn so everyone know where it is. Secret little storages are not allowed, if i find them your village will face consequences by otherworldy sources... Now lets move on to Phase 2. Phase 2: Once your magnificent palaces are done this phase will begin. Everyone is put in survival mode, killed for reasons, and 4 villagers are places in your village. The server must reset to be put in hard difficulty but after that, we begin. You must defend your helpless villagers from the mobs and other players. If you haven't in phase 1, you can build traps in your village as a defense. Make sure your fellow villagers don't step on it though. PvP is enabled during this and fighting can commence. The goal is to have the most villagers by the end of the game, or the last village standing. You built the biggest village, it has a wall, 3 buildings, its awesome. But now you are the Warlord of the game! What is a warlord you say, let me tell you. Warlords: If your village is the largest once phase 1 is done you are now the Warlord of the game. Warlords are given items at the beginning of the game but have worse luck with the gods which will be explained later. Warlords also have a bounty on their head. If their village is destroyed, each village that helped destroy the village will be given items such as iron, armor, weapons, and even diamonds. Now that we have got through phases and what warlords are, there is one more thing you might want to know about unless you don't want it raining zombies on you, Gods. Gods: Gods are the supernatural beings that you must worship, or kill? Gods have the most power and can change rules around if they want at the beginning of the game. They can also make the game interesting. They can make events occur, hurt or help villages, and create global catastrophes. Some examples, put a diamond block and say the xyz cords and watch as they herd for it, give items to the worst village so they can at least be game, hurt the strongest village by spawning zombies at their gates, and what ever the god can come up with. We are almost through all the gameplay mechanics but now we have another twist. Gamemodes. Gamemodes: After the first few games we can begin to have 2 leaders in one village againest 2 villages. 2 villages vs 2 villages, and more. 2 gods even? The odds are endless *not really*. Maps: Something i forgot to mention was different types of maps. Im gonna go through various seeds or custom maps for the area of building. At the moment i have 5 worlds. One only taiga. One taiga and plains. Another Mountains forest. The other, Survival island *don't know how that will work*. And the variety level. Jungle/Swamp/Plains/Desert. I was thinking of ruins but without any help i can't build many. Small things here and there will be around. Obviously it isn't just these maps, but i will limit each village to just staying in these biomes for the game. Media! I have started a test game but they can't stay to play, my friend hosts the game and i have to schedule another game time. Criticism is accepted as i want to make sure it can work.

First, this isn't an RTS. And second, how do the mobs get to you if you have a wall? You're pretty much safe with just that. Are you using any plugins to do this or are you just doing it all yourself with admin commands?
