• Games you would like to see Remakes of

Alright, so no doubt a lot of you have games that you've played and you love. They're likely from a bygone era of 8-bit or something of the sort. Well I made this thread as I thought it would be interesting to see what ideas people had for how to remake their favorite games, and also it would be nice to have a nostalgia fit, however brief it is. Personally my game is Zombies ate my neighbors! Whom my cousin in New York still has to this day. ^^ Now as for a remake of this game, I would love to see it with with a whole lush cartoonish look, you know sort of like borderlands. I would love it with the same cartoonish flavor, you know. I think some cool weapons would be like a BB gun, which kills pathetic zombies in one hit, and of course the classic bazooka! I think it would be nice though if it were a sandbox. I know it sounds bad, but imagine the fun it could be if done right! You could do things like cruise the neighborhood and do all kinds of fun stuff! Think of the possibilities!
None, because remakes of classic games are shit
Well, not always. Although I wouldn't know.
The Donkey Kong Country games.
Oregon Trail
Oregon Trail
Aren't there like fifteen versions of that game already?
BLAST CORPS, MOTHER FUCKING BLAST CORPS /caps.
Pong
Well this is all fine and good guys, but why not go into detail on how you'd like to see them remade?
Metal Gear Solid 1 Timesplitters
Metal Gear Solid 1
It's been done, Twin Snakes for the Gamecube.
Dammit what was that one game called again... :v:
Spyro.
Vice City.
Heavy Gear 1. I liked the fact that as a mecha pilot, tanks do pose a dangerous threat to you on the open battlefield unless you use combined arms tactics.
My dream game is Soul Reaver remade to include all the scrapped content and the second game as one. Bonus points for taking that piece of shit Defiance and incorporating its plot with the gameplay from the REAL Soul Reaver games. Also Metal Gear 1 and 2 (the original 2D games). Policenauts would be cool in 3D too.
Lo Wang, Nomad: Omicron Soul or whatever the fuck it was, RUNE
Blast Corps First 2 Fallout games. Xcom Crash 2
Super Mario World
American McGee's Alice. Aside from the obvious pluses of giving that game graphical and engine-related upgrades, they'd finally have time to add back in all of the stuff they cut because they weren't complete as the deadline neared. Among them: - The "Call Cheshire Cat" button was supposed to actually get him to fight alongside you for stretches of time. - There are several characters that are almost fully functional, and can be spawned via console, but are never used in the game proper. To my knowledge there are two types of frog-men, a minion in a hot air balloon, and The Walrus hidden this way. -The Jabberwock as he appeared in the game was not nearly as menacing as the ideal Jabberwock they used in promotional materials. - More entertaining ways to kill enemies, and to get killed. The game had this cranked back quite a bit between the beta forms and the finished product. How far back? The game directory has a file for gib models and a "wet" soundfile for dying to explosive damage, for one.
Killer instinct.
San Andreas - on the Euphoria engine Mechwarrior 2 with updated graphics
Star Wars: Battlefront. It doesn't matter if they change anything, just make one for 360
Phantom Crash Only mech game I've played that focuses on agility and stealth rather than power, but also doesn't penalise you if you want to make a super powerful 'Scoobie'.
Half Life 1.
I would like to see a remake of Black
Ruby,Sapphire pokemon on the next nintendo handheld or any of them ported to the wii/whatever comes after the wii.
None, because remakes of classic games are shit
And here we have a perfect example of what "we" like to call, a "nub gamer", they arbitrarily speak out there asses because they believe that they have some form of higher philosophy everyone else is aware of and act as if they speak for the masses. Thief Deadly Shadows Doom 3 Aliens vs Predator Zombie Panic Source (yea, its a mod, SO WHAT) Killing Floor Tomb Raider Anniversary Day of Defeat Source Metroid Prime Super Mario 64 Donkey Kong 64 Return to Castle Wolfenstein Unreal Tournament 2004 Those were all basicaly remakes (reimagined, remade, same fucking thing) of past titles, all great games IMO. Now games "I" would like to see remade... Well, Duke Nukem 64 :smug:, Elder Scrolls Morrowind, Manhunt, Evil Genius, X-com (yes, i know its being remade, but the way their taking it is completely fucking shitty and i will take no part in thinking of it as part of the X-com series or even it's name being related to that of the x-com series as X-com is godliness), Soldier of Fortune 2, Sniper Elite, Call of Cthulhu, definately Spiderman 1 for PS1, and Jedi Knight.
Robot Alchemic Drive Holy fuck those voice actors were bad
