Does anyone here play it?
If so post your username and team :D
Also...... When you get shot-down by a spitfire with one wing don't you just feel like....

I tried it, twice. It was good fun but I haven't ever really felt like paying a monthly fee for it.
I used to play the trial, was it 2 weeks? I didn't subscribe though since it cost a lot more than I was comfortable with.
It was pretty fun. I bet if they made it free the userbase would rocket.
Probaly, but how would they get their pay then? They would probably have to make the game buy-able from a game store or Steam for like thirty bucks.
I played with a bunch of friends, and para missions and tank columns have been some of the funnest things i've ever done in any game. Even plain old infantry attacks are really fun just because of what's at stake. (A twenty minute walk to the fight....it's a good way to make people think twice before rambo'ing)
But it's not worth the monthly fee.
I would try the free trial if they didn't make you pay 1$ and make you pay 20$ at the end.
Tried it on three occasions, was fun for awhile but as many have said before, too costly.
The new update will have me playing for a bit again. Ragdoll physics and randomized weather, uphauled graphics engine. Should be fun.
Yeah I'm wanting to ambush some Spitfires during a storm... See those fucks try to retaliate then...
Yea, I play.
Allies only, though.
Jesus, why did you make this thread. I was going to make a semi-megathread about it. I can't believe you done this... :smith:
Anyways, this game is awesome, I ironically liked it better than Arma 1-2, being arma 1-2 has a similar concept, yet much better graphics. This seems to be more fun, and there's much more variety in game play like dog-fights, tanks, tranport vehicles, and blowing up cities. Airplanes are actually really fun to fly on it once you get the hang of it.
But goddamn, I wanted to make a thread for this.
Video of new ragdolls. :v:

That is fucking awesome. Might get back into it.
I played it quite a bit, but I haven't got the time anymore. It was great realism fun and definately worth the money. I found air combat way too hard, because of the vets, even though I was part of luftwaffe. I practiced dogfighting a lot, but I have only ever managed to shoot down a few planes with bullets and/or cannons. So far I've had more luck dogfighting in stukas than in fighters. Bombing in stukas are great fun, and can get you a lot of kills if you're lucky and the base is stuffed with light cars, guns and infantry. Getting back to the airbase is somewhat more difficult...
I completely forgot about this game, and now I feel the urge to begin again.
Maybe I'll begin in a half year or so.
I read the title as WWLOL
But yea, I tried it once, couldn't get into it.
I think it miss the "Project reality" order of troops to make people work together. It could use more players cause even the big battles seemed "half-empty". Will try the new patch though.
Aw man, the para missions were amazing. Everyone would pile into a plane, take off, and get situated. Random conversations would start, usually about what would go down in the future ten minutes. After the (IMO) long flight time, we would all dive out of the plane, and land all over the place. Some people jumped late, and landed near quarter a mile away from the drop zone.
Our commander would tell us to rally at a near house or something. We would sneak around, looking out for the stray enemy that would tear our jumps apart. Once we rallied, we would seek out our objective. I forget what we would do, probably just blowing up stuff, but we would go through with it. Sometimes we would just invade a big city battle, joining up with the regular troops.
Some jumps were worse than others. The missions almost always resulted in death. I remember one mission, where we went through with our objective, we got lost. We sent out some guy to go grab a truck and take us back to base. After sitting around for ten minutes, he finally showed up. Immediately after, our group was attacked. Fire coming from all directions, men kept falling over and dying. Everyone else rushed for the truck, but the driver drove off without us. We were all finished after that.
I would love to play this game again, but my trial ran out. And I kind of think the price is too high. Heck, can't they pay through advertising or something?
Oh yes, I remember playing as Axis (I always do, even though absolutely everybody else plays as the two huge Allied armies) and taking three small poorly defended towns along a river in about 2 hours, we would drop in, capture the town, RTB and repeat. Unfortunately on our way to the next objective our overcrowded Ju-52 was intercepted by a sole French fighter. One moment we were chatting about whatever it was we would chat about on those long journeys, singing songs and staring at our maps, the next there are some taps all over the plane and many Fallschirmjäger's slump forwards. It took us a moment to realise what was happening, the Frenchman made another pass, all of the passengers were dead. Moments later the plane joined us.
As usual, in the massive Allied overload which occurred every time the USA woke up, our gains had vanished and we were back somewhere in eastern Belgium.
They should really give people the option of a limited free account, maybe with similar limitations as the trial, or earlier access to the later tier equipment for subscribers.
I love large cities with tons of crumbled buildings, no one really looks on top of the high rubble for enemies and the outside walls of the building which are still intact even further add concealment.
