This is hard to explain but let me try. Due to me being afraid of a group hackers, who can apparently get your password without you handing it over to them, i changed my password frequently, i forgot it and i had to get steam support to help me, few weeks later, i got around to it and got it back, all my games were back. Started up Gmod, after i reinstalled. How strange, long loading times. Then i noticed i had a bunch of mods from 4 or 5 months ago that i long scince deleted, and all the mods i previously had before i lost my password(i lost it in October 6th or 7th, got back in November 17) were gone. Before you think "OMG WRONG SECTION!" This problem is the same with all other Valve games i have modded, i only tried fixing Gmod doing the following: Uninstall,delete folder, reinstall, defrag,validation, atleast 10 times each, still all the same. Also, i tried modding my DOD:S and all the mods installed none worked. So anyone who can offer an explanation for this or any help? Thanks in advance. (If this is still somehow in the wrong section, please move it to Garrys Mod section, for i dont know were else to place it)

If you don't delete your Garrysmod folder in your steam account folder it will keep all your mods/addons.
I fixed it by, going into steam apps by a different root, and i saw mods in the addons folder and deleting them all. Was fixed
