I get about 1 frame per 20 seconds on either of them. Works very good on all other maps and games. Intel Core 2 Duo P7350 2GHZ nvidia Geforce 9400M 2 GBs of RAM. Windows 7 x64 Not really the best specs, but works fine on all of the Source games, except L4d2 and the doublecross.
That's probably the RAM, TF2 takes nearly 1500MB on that map for me
Good optimization. What about L4D2? It worked fine before I went to 7...
Windows 7 eats up a bit more RAM compared to XP so that would probably explain it being fine before, I'd guess it's a mix of your RAM and CPU, dual 2ghz is starting to get pretty dated. RAM really isn't expensive at the minute, not for an extra GB or 2 anyway
Well I just don't understand that I get 40 FPS on L4D1 on high yet get less than 1 FPS in L4D2.
what are your current settings for l4d2? v-sync might be a factor, or AA probably?
nVdia Geforce 9400M
That used to be a great card, now if you try to max out the settings on ep2 this thing stutters. I'd guess it's on ctf_doublecross because of some magical large draw distance? As for L4D2 I'd say that it's graphical requirements can be pretty high. If you don't have your settings very high up I'd suspect something along the lines of overheating, as I will guess you're running on a laptop or something similar.
That used to be a great card
Nope, it was terrible even when it was released [editline]08:42PM[/editline] even though that's the mobile version
Funny, it ran Ep1 great. :colbert: Multimedia was no issue either, but right when the year 2007 hit it went strait down the drain.
Horrible sluts? I guess that makes Doublecross and L4D2 your average High School.
Well this combo can run GTA IV on low-medium.
Mate, it's not your RAM. I've got Intel Pentium Dual Core E5200@3.5GHz Sapphire Radeon HD4730 2 GBs of RAM. Windows 7 x32 And I can run TF2 at up to 200 FPS.
1 frame per 20 seconds? :monocle:
1 frame per 20 seconds? :monocle:
I'd imagine that it's somewhat unplayable.
Well this combo can run GTA IV on low-medium.
But thats the second most unoptimized engine in history. :ohdear:
Your computer has a spiral in it..Making it make strange drr noises and mindrape graphics. It was made for you
What?
I think he may be refering to two manga horrors, but he combined references from both into 1 sentence.
wasn't this thread about my problem with L4d2 and that map in TF2?
Yes. Get a better computer.
I'd imagine that it's somewhat unplayable.
lol i could load most TF2 maps before that
Yes. Get a better computer.
It's IMPOSSIBLE that there's such a sudden change that made me lag in L4D2, I wasn't lagging before.
