Trying to Remember A Very Old Game - Scaphander or Something-or-other

This has really been bugging me for the past few days, even since I got hit by a serious wave of nostalgia.
I remember when my dad first downloaded and showed me this game when I was very, very young. Even before I first saw Doom and Duke3D, I remember this primitive 3D game (atleast by later standards) that I think was called Scaphander. If you don't know what that means, here's a definition:
n. 1. The case, or impermeable apparel, in which a diver can work while under water.
Regardless, it was probably one of the first 3D games on the PC, though I'm not sure if it was released before or after Wolfenstein 3D. All I remember is that you played in the first person (traditional fps format), going around dark corridors picking up battery packs for points while killing floating robots and, err, stars (sounds weird, but that's how I remember it). The only weapon you could pick up was an some sort of automatic rifle, which you could also dual wield if you found an extra. Of course, the game used 2D sprites similar to Doom and the likes.
What's most painful for me is that I cannot find a single trace of this game anywhere, perhaps because I don't have the name right, its downright old, or perhaps because it was a rather underground piece of software not known in mainstream circles. Though, since this was the early 1990s, I'd think that creating a 3D engine that allowed for full 360 movement was no small feat back than.
Does anyone here have any knowledge of such a game, or even a single idea where I can find out about it? I don't expect to get much out of this, but even my dad still remembers playing this game with me when I was a kid, and I would if possible just like to see it one more time to relive old memories.
Marathon?
Einhander,maybe?

I'm sure it wasn't Einhander, you only played in first person and on foot.
As for Marathon, I don't think thats it either. The graphics are too nice and I don't recognize any of the enemies. Thanks for trying though :unsmith:
