Also I hope factions don't "buddy up" like they did in Warhammer online. I mean I know the Imperium will get help from Eldar once every millennium for just one battle, but that's about it

It'll probably be imperium vs chaos with aliens being random mobs to kill
I'm concerned whether it'll just become the 40k space marines vs chaos space marines cliche though
I mean I'd love to be a kasrkin or a vindicare assassin

I doubt they'll make the Guard a playable race as much as I'd like that.

I think Orks are pretty major too, so if they did something like that it might be marines and chaos and orks are playable.
But I hope we can pick Scout/Tech marine / marine / assault marine / devastator or something (or maybe everyone starts out as scouts and works their way up a certain branch)

Guard would make good mobs for non marine factions, and traitor guard would make good mobs for marines lol

What if you get to play as Commissar. Pretty sweet, eh? Especially, since battles are supposed to be big.

Planetside + Warhammer 40k = Well this is the greatest MMO ever.
I hope to the almight Void Dragon that Necrons are in the game (cause Nightbringer and Deciever are douches. Well Nightbringer is cool).
First game, Space marines vs chaos or orks, expansion pack will have Eldar and chaos/orks, then expansions will add more planets and classes and maybe some more play able races. Thats what I think.
I think eventually all factions except Tyrannids will be playable, because 'Nids are a hivemind.
But I really hope this is a TPS. FPS wouldn't be satisfying and the traditional MMO combat system (point and click) would be boring.
From the looks of the concept art there will be atlest Chaos, Spess Marines, Orks, and (thank god) Imperial Guard.

This. Doing Warhammer 40k in the planetside style would be insanely awesome.

My theory on that is sticking it in a 3D skybox during PvP (ie the Citadel in Half-life 2). So it wouldn't actually help out players but it would seem like it was helping the battle
But that's just a guess. Also that titan is Warhound, which is the smallest of all of them

It's an MMO, it must have some RPG elements. But I seem to remember reading that it's a TPS, I could be wrong

Except it won't be anything like Planetside. It's not an MMOFPS, it's an MMORPG. It will be more like Warhammer Online or World of Warcraft than Planetside.
Shame too, I was hoping for another MMOFPS to fill the hole Planetside has left.
If it has auto-attack or anything like that (so if it isn't twitch-based) I'll be pissed. It better not be WoW in a Warhammer 40k setting.

I can't wait until 40k gets a fanbase of a bunch of thirteen year old retards.
Only IG that would realistically be playable are Cadian IG.
Even then, they'd have to be Shock Troopers or Kasrkins, which I doubt people would be able to start out with.
