Thread music: Shadow of the Colossus is a PS2 game, the second of the Ico series. It's a follow-up\prologue to the first game, Ico. In the game you play Wander, a warrior who seeks to revive his love. To do this he must defeat 16 colossi in epic battles. The whole game is about going from one colossus to the other and defeating them, each colossus is giant, epic, and unique, and each one is like a "boss", those are your only enemies in the game. To defeat each one you need to find out his weaknesses, then hit them with the sword. Finding out how to defeat a colossus can sometimes take longer than actually defeating them, which is really cool. The game is very mysterious, and a lot of things aren't explained such as (END GAME SPOILER!!!!) [sp]how you turn into a baby at the end of the game and why do you have horns like Ico from the first game[/sp]. Or what are the colossi and how did they came to be, and who is the guy who will revive your loved one. The game and especially the battles is filled with great musical scores, such as the one at the top which is my favorite. The scenery is great, and the colossi look brilliant. When you battle a colossus and climb it, trying to get to it's head or something while it's trying to shake you off like an annoying pest, you really feel the epicness of the game, you really feel like a hero fighting these greatly over-powered giants. You also have a loyal side-kick, Agro the horse, which is probably the best side-kick in the world of gaming, ever. This guy will be so much help, and by the end of the game you will really care for him. Some epic pictures of an epic game: You see that big-ass colossus? Now THAT'S a boss! See that little guy over to the left? That's YOU! The second colossus. Look at his face, look at it! He's looking down at you like you're a little ant. Yes, that's right, a fucking DRAGON! I love this game, but it really didn't deserve a thread.
I love this game, but it really didn't deserve a thread.
Yea it deserves a thread, this game is beastly <3
The language used in this thread is childish and corny, but the game is great. OP is 12.
Absolutely loved the soundtrack, made each battle feel huge and important.
I love this game. I hope the followup game with that bird creature can do it justice.
Game is great. Too bad my PS2 broke and I won't buy a PS3, so I can never play it again.
OP is 18 but feels like 12 when playing this game :keke:
You know, I can't stand overuse of the term 'epic'. BUT this game really does deserve use of the term, it fits the definition. Also, I made a better thread about this ages ago, FUCK YOUUUU
I'm sorry I missed it, no search :\.
Incredible game, easily one of my favourites.

Awesome game. I'm stuck at the turle one.
One of my favorite games of all time. Hands down! Beat Normal and time challenges for items, then Hard and those challenges as well, still play it. I like to hang out in the garden on top of the Shrine of Worship. The sight alone is worth the climb.
It's a shame that it's only available for ps2. I never had one and today the game is really hard to get. I only played the Ico once, a friend lent me his ps2 and the game. I've played the whole day, it was really epic although that girl was sometimes fucking retarded. So I played the whole day to find out that the cd was broken at the end and I couldn't play the ending.
I regrettably never got this game when I could. A real shame indeed.
I loved this game. Can't wait for the next one.
I loved this game. it was THE best game for the PS2 EVER.
I, myself, have never heard of it. It looks fun though.
I really want to finish this, I got to the 9th colossi then my ps3 fat broke and now I have a ps3 slim with no ps2 support, shit sucks.
I beat this game so many times. Finished Normal, Hard, and both time trials and then messed around with the parachute and climbed to the top of the temple countless times. This game is incredible. I totally cried when [sp]Agro fell of the cliff, and was gone.[/sp] This game feels so nice to play, and wandering around in the vast empty land makes me feel so uncomfortable, as if something is supposed to be there. And there's those big rings littered across the land, the ones that were part of puzzles in Ico. Man. These games. Incredible.
I've never played this game but I've heard so much about it. I really wish I had a PS2 so I could play it.
It's absolutely amazing The ruins, large temples, scattered relics of an ancient civilization, like the city you go to to fight the Tiger colossus, number 14, are all very well done and give you an eerie sense of emptiness. Beautiful landscapes and structures.
brb getting ps2 back from friend
Some girl has my copy, I really need this game back. It's so amazing.
I loved this game, but the controls constantly annoyed me. If they remade it, though, on a modern console? I'd play it, jizz on it and built a temple to worship at it's feet.
My cousin gave me the game, I was actually scared to beat it because it was so amazing to play. The music was definitely done well, its a shame I played this on a small screen with mono-speakers. I wonder how they could pull this off in a PS3 remake. It was the best looking game ive played for the PS2.
best boss battles of all time
One of the best games, ever. Totally deserving of its own thread.
Have you guys ever noticed the thing, deep in the background, able to be seen from the Shrine...Looks kinda like a castle eh? Maybe a certain Queens castle...*cough*
