Hi, i smell bullshit.
Hi, I'm Exhale55! :buddy:
I code game.
Most games and applications are coded in C++. I have no experience but I've always wanted to try to make a game with the UDK.
Coding is a very expansive and difficult procedure. I'd recommend going to your local bookstore/library and purchasing C++ for Dummies or Java for Dummies if you want to learn Java, but that doesn't deal with games, I think.
You'll also need modeling software, sound recorder/software, and some other things like animations and so on so forth.
There's a program called Dark Basic Pro which can be found here but I'd rather get UDK as it's free.
Good luck if you are going to code a game and I hope this helped you.

You don't need modeling software if you're making a two dimensional game, and UDK doesn't require really any coding except for unreal script, but that's a different story really. Making your own game from a scratch always has the best results in my opinion.
I made Half-Life 2.
