I hate to go off topic here but everyone has their own definition of what is fun. What gives you the right to judge that? Personally I find Slender to be mildly fun. I hate the whole slenderman deal thingy but it's an okay game. It's free even so big whoop.
Anyways, I don't really have any suggestions to give to OP.
The original Unreal is so many hours of fun and mods and map editing and lan-ing and sex you should get it
There is a custom game in Starcraft 2 that is more well-made than Slender, it's pretty fun since its multiplayer too

I think toribash might be low spec if you use the older shaders. Haven't played it in ages though, so I can't tell for certain.

One neat thing about it is that you can customize your units, giving them what ever stats you like in exchange of production costs.
