Stupid question, I know, but I need the particles from HL2. I've searched all of the GCF's and couldn't find jack shit, maybe I've just overlooked it or something but I swear I can't find 'em.
Could someone give me a push in the right direction, please?

If you mean the blood and stuff, source materials.gcf\hl2\materials\effects
If you mean fire and stuff, source materials.gcf\hl2\materials\particle
I mean the particle files, as in the actual particles that are drawn on the screen through emitters and such, not the materials
It might be source 2007 shared materials.gcf/particles/
