So, why is everyone whining that Bulletstorm has bad graphics?

So, recently, on IRC and almost every other forum I go, I see people complaining how bad the Bulletstorm graphics are (PC, duh).
First of all, I don't see anything wrong with the graphics. They are beautiful to me, and the developers OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCED that they DO NOT CARE or INTEND to make graphics MORE BEAUTIFUL.

So, what's with all the hate for graphics?
