• An Interesting Theory on the Valve Universe

Well I just saw this theory on a forum, it mostly involves TF2 but since it involves portal and Half Life, I'm putting it in this section. Anyway, please tell me if this is old, if it is... I'll snip it
Announcer is an early prototype of Glados. Blu team defends Aperture Sciences. Red team defends Black Mesa (hence the Western Arizona theme). Soldier is from Arizona. He is the father of Adrian Shepherd in Opposing Force. Gordon Freeman is born in the early 70s after the Red/Blu battles. Demoman is Eli's father. If you recall at the end of Portal, you are thrown from a deep pit to the outside world. In the 60's, teleport technology and super computers were housed underground for secrecy and for protection from attacks. Thus, in payload maps, bomb carts are delivered to aforementioned shafts like the one in Portal's epilogue because Red and Blu (Aperture Sciences and Black Mesa) are trying to destroy one another's technology. The scientists will not do it themselves, hence they hire mercenaries. Soldier is a mercenary. His son Adrian Shepherd was a mercenary too. The red spy and his petite cheaufleur conceive a son but place him in an orphanage, free of the troulbes Red Spy must face with his profession. This boy's name was Gordon. Blu spy is G-man after reconstructive surgery due to the injuries suffered at the hands of the Blu Soldier hence the awkward speech patterns and whatnot.
My mind was mostly blown
He tried too hard
Thing is , who was pyro? Who was Medic?
Kleiner, Kleiner.
That's not the entire Valve universe. Where is Left 4 Dead ?
Also Adrian wasn't a merc, he was a soldier trained by a black Duke Nukem
Oh, and it's Shephard, not Shepherd, when will you people learn
That's not the entire Valve universe. Where is Left 4 Dead ?
L4D is Parallel sorry
Demoman is Eli's father.
Stopped right there.
Well, then WHO WAS PHONE?
Well, then WHO WAS PHONE?
banana
Yeaaaaaaah, nope.
It's a good theory, but it collides too much with what Valve has already stated. Aperture Laboratories came about in the 1980s as a shower curtain manufacturer (Source: ApertureScience.com. Log in as cjohnson, password tier3). TF2 takes place twenty years before, in 1965. Also, as previously stated, Adrian Shephard is not a mercenary, he's a Marine. It's an interesting idea, this theory, but it has too many holes.
I have a theory for you! MY ASS. but then who was heavy?.........MY GOD HE BECOMES ODESSA caps
None of this makes much sense at all.
Yeah, I'm sure a stylised multiplayer shooter ties in with a realistic sci-fi drama.
It actually makes sense... Is kleiner the engi ?
Where does Saxton Hale come into this?
Pyro is rochelle after she was brutally beaten by Coach, Ellis and Nick with bats. They also threw a molotov at her.
Well, then WHO WAS PHONE?
Rochelle: Since she ain't important. Not on topic: What anime or whatever is your avatar from?

and in the end Alyx was really Gordon's brother but gordon still tap'd that
and in the end Alyx was really Gordon's brother but gordon still tap'd that
Alyx is a man?
Just replace "Interesting" with "Dumb" and you're right on the money.
Why are there so many conspiracy theorists when it comes to Valve's games? Christ.
http://www.members.shaw.ca/halflifestory/timeline.htm
The only thing I disagree with in this is that the vortigaunts care more for individual lives. They really don't. Unlike humans, who are an individual species like the rest of the animals on earth, vortigaunts are more of a union species. They do what is better for the greater good. So they saw potetial for the rebels to help aid the earth. Humans though, have no real concept of what "the greater good" means. Vortessence is their spiritual unity they share. Using it, they can help do things such as restore life or travel between dimensions and time. Reread and figured this out. The Borealis is made before the combine take over but reused to build a weapon to try and help earth out. it then got transported to the artic where the survivors of the initial trip died. Then it is found by Mossman. Of course, everything else fits. Apature science is made along side as a secret group to make objects that may or may not be used in the millitary. Then destroyed due to the Gman sparking the Resonance cascade. TF2 is a parallel world and takes no place in the HL2-Portal universe. TF2 however is the waring teams made by two brothers over land left after their father's death. Saxton hale, being the one who owns Mann Co. happens to be their munitions dealer.
Why are there so many conspiracy theorists when it comes to Valve's games? Christ.
Because they are damn good story tellers. They know how to give us a clue that gives us just enough to work with but still leave a bit of mystery involved. They hint at everything by telling nothing and some how make a great game in the proccess. They should have a team who works on movies and or books. VALVe Multi-media corp. plz
Then destroyed due to the Gman sparking the Renaissance cascade.
I lol'd.
What about Ricochet? Why dont THEY get in this?
I lol'd.
I was wondering about that. Just did spell check for most the words. Also, it is grammar, not spelling.
This seems to be trying way too hard to fit everything in, even the things that have absolutely no basis in the pre-established saga. The parts about Adrian being the Soldier's son, Gordon being the Spy's and Scout's mom's, as well as the Demoman beind Eli's dad for example.
