I've been trying to get wegame to work but it won't even let me log in to the damn thing, nor create a new account...Is it worth it? What are some other good in-game recording programs? Fraps rapes the shit out of my computer, i can't use that at all...What else is there?
Xfire.
Xfire and Fraps suck if you don't have much free HD space.
WeGame for casual stuff, Fraps for HD
In Source games you can use this: http://www.facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=148196
For me, though, it lags like a bitch -- even in singleplayer. Not to mention the sound. (Although the recording turned out just fine.)
And I haven't tested this, but I would assume recording a demo first, and then playing and recording that on video would get rid of the horrible gameplay.
As for other games, I only really use Livestream but I haven't figured yet if that saves to disk.

The Xfire recorder doesn't take up that much space. Fraps does though.
Use the valve demo recorder than virtual dub to get really high quality stuff. If your not using a valve game than I would go with xfire or fraps.
WeGame manages to encode 30 seconds of 320x240 footage with the same size as Xvid encoded 2 minute long HD footage.
