I"m doing this poll purely out of boredom, i just started to re-beat Ocarina Of Time and i started to wonder how many people, like me, keep the predesignated names in games like Zelda and Final Fantasy.
And Now Borderlands.
I do, I would just save the game as "Link".
On everything except Pokemon Blue, I call Garry something mean like buttface or something.
Yes because I am not creative enough to come up with any myself
For Final Fantasy, yes, for Zelda, no.
If a game gives me the ability to name something "FAGGOT" I will name something "FAGGOT" because everything in games makes me very angry and I am angry about "FAGGOT"s
first time around yes, second time no.
Depends. I named my Borderlands character Badass, or was it BADASS?
I did for Mass Effect.
But in Fallout 3, 'Player Name' didn't really appeal to me.
Always name rival in pokemon games FAGGOT
Nope. My Mass Effect character was named Ringo Shepard.
No but the names I always come up with are always simple and shitty.
Fagballs.
I checked all the posts above me, I guess I am so late I am early.
I also tend to name my characters "Bro" now.
And that's why he always starts fights with you. If you name him Garry, he actually becomes your best friend and helps you beat the elite four.
You guys have spent too much time on Facepunch.
I do as often as possible. It's my own way of keeping the story as close to the creators' vision as possible.

Oh wow I just noticed that.
Whoa whoa whoa! Misspelling someone's name with a common spelling that just happens to be the creator of this forum. DAMN YOU NEED A BREAK.
i name my characters silly names like jack hoff or hookerbot 9000
no i name all my characters jake because that's my name
I found my Pokemon Blue in my old Gameboy Color recently and it was my older brother's old save. For some reason, Gary's name was "Jewball."
If it's single player, and if there is one then yes. Multiplayer? No.
Who would keep a default name in multiplayer?

Mingebag.
Depends, if they already have a name then no, I won't change it. If they don't then I'll change it, "Player" doesn't sound very good (oh and I always name them "Acds" then, it's pretty much my universal nickname).

I named Garry The Asshole, so whenever you saw him come in it said "Oh, it's the asshole!"
On every multiplayer game i call me "Fantafuzz", but on singleplayer games i tend to use my real name...
