Seeing as how Episode 1 was one-third the length of HL2, Episode 2 was two-thirds, I'd say the next Half-Life title isn't episodic and is gonna be 40/50 dollars

I remember when I made a thread about this. A Swedish store claimed that EP3 would be out November 2009 and cost 500 SEK (around €55 or $65).

(a long time ago) So if they're going to continue after Episode 3, the next one will probably be called Half-Life 4: Episode 1 (or maybe Half-Life 3: Episode 1) Of course, that isn't official, but just an educated guess.

Valve never really SAID publicly that they were working on it. just a few rumours and maybe them occasionally mentioning it but no exact date or ETA

Valve still has to finish the HL2 story arc. The episodes aren't HL3, and gabe himself Half-Life is a trilogy. Half-Life - Black Mesa Story Half-Life 2 and the Episodes - City 17 Story Half-Life 3 - Some new story that takes in account the events which happened in the previous games.
