If you can help that will be much appreciated, this game is going to have a lot of free themed content updates post release. Even if you can't pay for whatever reason, if you can help reach the goal as I've only just got access to a PC since being without one for the past week *galaxy s3 saved me*, then please spread the word.
Thanks a lot, I didn't want to come across as begging, or spamming, but I can't think of many ways to spread the word.
This game looks like the sort of thing someone would make in their spare time and release for free on the App Store. I hope I haven't offended anybody but it really doesn't look like anything special or worth putting money towards.
I now feel really harsh for posting that. I'm sorry, but is there anything unique about the game or is it simply a Gravity Run clone with a cow instead of a dude in a suit?
another HURR TOUCH YO SCREEN TO EVADE X THING OVER AND OVER game
really you dont even need a kickstarter for this it would be applyeable to a huge or "decent" game but an IOS game is so simple you can make yourself one in like 2-1 weeks max
Its literally Bit.Trip Runner
Kickstarter is a great start for ambitious gameprojects that require a budget to develop. Small flashgames like this however, can be created by 1 person in his free time. Why would you need a budget of 1k?

It's not flash... Also 1 guy would be hard pressed to make a custom soundtrack ontop of the rest of the game, as for the costs the page explains it all.
I think the point hes making is that its of the same quality as a newground flashgame.
As a student in Game Design, I don't wanna sound like I'm squashing out your idea, but it really doesn't have enough to stand on its own, especially as something to spend money on. it doesn't look bad, but its not a kickstarter-worthy project. I don't see how this needs 1k in funding.

You're saying it like its hard to make a custom soundtrack.
You're not going to be hiring an orchestra, would you really need a thousand bucks?
This is an alright idea, but it's not worth putting on kickstarter. I wish you and your girlfriend luck on this project. Maybe you can share it with us later.
Hahah I remember this guy, I screwed his girlfriend (Literally).
How is Marissa doing these days?

The game is similar to gravity run, but it's not a clone of it. I am taking a few idea's from established games, but I'm adding more and more as I go along. The gravity thing was added because it was quite easy to do so. It's more like bit trip beat, but the whole point of the game, is to run really fast, you can run slow and play it safe and get hardly any points, or run really fast to get the maximum points but requires good skill.

On topic, I don't want to sound insulting but I really am surprised that this got 24 K, Jezus H. Christ.

That's £24
That's £24
Oh.
I feel like an idiot now.
Joined to advertise? Anyway from what I saw it seems quite terrible.
Need to hire an artist to give it more of a distinct style, looks pretty bland as is.
You're saying it like its hard to make a custom soundtrack.
Its hard for people that aren't you/very musical
Its hard for people that aren't you/very musical
Then just ask a guy to make music for your game.
Most unlabeled artists would gladly make music for a game for very little if any pay.
Actually this game doesn't look to bad, but it reminds me of a lot of homebrew ds games, one specific one was also released on ios, it's called sheep goes left. Anyway, the game doesn't look to bad, although the cow looks terrible. You should also have had more rewards for the higher paying funders. A pretty important question (for me at least) if you get full funding will you release an ios version?
Also I hate to be rude but what do you need a grand for if you just want to release it? If you are paying for an apple developers licence then I can see why you might need half of that, but if that isn't the original idea then what is it all for? Food? I honestly don't know.

Yeah, I guess they would, most unsigned artists (on facepunch at least) seem to be pretty cool people.
one grand for this? hahahaha

I need hardware, I need a Wacom Tablet for my girlfriend to be able to better produce art, a license for Photoshop, I need to cover the costs of the software used to make the game ($500), paying someone to do some music probably $100 or so. Rest of it is minor costs.
As for IOS version I have that planned.
I think a lot of people forget that this is my first game with idea's from my girlfriend, produced with 1 weeks solid work, it is a alpha prototype and the final version is likely to look/play different. The art is very basic at the moment, primarily because my girlfriend hasn't managed to produce any art yet, crappy tablet and so forth.
Yes it's not amazing, but if a game like http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/johngroh/parkourasaur-free-running-dinosaur-themed-mobile-g?ref=search got 7K I figured I'd go for less seeing as I don't have as good art etc, yet to me my gameplay is far more polished than what he showed.
If it falls through no harm done, I can only try right?

so basically you won't have anything decent to show until after people have given you 1000 pounds
so basically you won't have anything decent to show until after people have given you 1000 pounds
No it just covers the cost as I'm going along, hence alpha version. Only so much I can do if you thought this was crap the first 5 versions were far worse.
oh FYI: the only thing worse than crappy kickstarter videos
is crappy kickstarter copy
it self
literately

That game has dinosaurs and hats though. And you, you have a cow.

You don't need a kickstarter, kickstarters are for people with good ideas who'd like to quit their jobs and follow their passion, not side products to make money.
The project you reference takes itself far more serious, you put a weeks work into your first game prototype from your girlfriend, I hate to put it this way but that just doesn't seem professional. Make a few games and then come back and ask people for their money.
