After installing the skins from this video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KTlQS-2n48c&feature=feedu
I put all of the files in the half-life 2 folder and started it up.
When I loaded my save game, I tested the weapons. They were there but..
the weapons sounds didn't work.
So I went into "game_sound_manifest.txt" and took a look.
I saw the CS:S text files were under music files with "preload_file" So I renamed the "preload_file" to "precache_file" then started HL2 up again. Then, the weapon sounds were still not working, how do I fix this?
You sure you put the sound files in the right place?
Yes..
You SURE you put the sound files in the right place?
they are located in C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\steamnamehere\half-life 2\hl2\sound\weapons
I have to join this issue.
It's a different skin but the animator is the same and so is his whole process of animation/sounds.
Before somebody asks: YES, I putted every file in the right place acording to the manuals and here is the rather odd part:
It works fine for every other Source game, except HL2.
I tested it with Episode 1, 2, Slums2 Modification and the HLMV but HL2 is the only game, where it doesn't work.
I don't know what VALVE did excactly but since they "updated" the Source Engine on HL2, Scripts have become locked or something like that.
