• Will assassin's creed 2 black edition for the ps3 work on a USA ps3?

Okay so I was about to buy the assassin's creed 2 black edition for my ps3, since it was released into the UK, so I have to buy it online, so as I was talking to my uncle about it, he said it won't work since of some region code saying that any over the sea game won't work for my ps3. Now, this had me a little worried but before I buy it, is that really true? Because I don't want to blow like 150$ on nothing.
No
Nope.
no
When does anything overseas ever work in your DVD/blu ray player?
So it won't work :saddowns:
you sure? its a regionfree game. all ps3 games are regionfree. isn't this wrong section?>
you sure? its a regionfree game. all ps3 games are regionfree. isn't this wrong section?>
I was thinking it was but I really wasn't sure, and I don't know for sure, if it is then I be pretty happy
So it won't work :saddowns:
Oh no, it will.
Alright, so I just found out it will work, just not the DLC
Not at all :saddowns:
Alright, so I just found out it will work, just not the DLC
no DlC for you.
Different regions. In most cases it won't work. Well that's for most items. I don't know about the PS3.
Yes, PS3 games are not region coded, it just says the region number on the box. For example, my NTSC copy of GH3 works on my PAL PS3. [sp]Abbreviation clusterfuck[/sp]
All PS3 games are region free. Generally a HD Television is required. And DLC will not work unless purchased from the region the game was purchased in. Which is fine, you can make for example a European PSN account and download/buy things from the Playstation Store, it converts your currency so no worries.
PS3 is region free. Jesus people, get your facts straight.
All the games are region free, the movies are region locked.
My brother bought a US version of Virtua Tennis 3, and it works fine on the ps3.
As far as I know, yes it will, the PS3 games are all region-free, but if you are using a old CRT TV then you will have the usual PAL/NTSC problems, HD TVs don't have that kind of stuff. There are no restrictions (once they are on the HDD) right?
You're rite. I think maybe some Support it now but most do not.
Why do we still have the fucking PAL/NTSC/SECAM problems? Just fucking set it all to PAL (Which is the best)
That's pretty cool that the PS3 is region free, I would have assumed the complete obvious. At least it's not like old consoles, where the actual cartridges were different depending on your region.
