• Minecraft 1.3 Beta Server Problems?

Ever since the latest update for Minecraft, me and my friend have been having massive problems. There is lag, blocks keep respawning. It only happens when more than one person is connected to the server, and each of our framerates differ hugely (mine can range from 7fps - 300fps). What's happening, and is there any fix as of yet? Is anybody other than me actually experiencing this in fact? I want to play Minecraft...
Im having the same problem, When i make a server and join my own server i spawn on a chunk just one chunk and i cant see any others. whereas if my friend joins without me there he can walk around freely and destroy blocks. When i join my friends games the same chunk problem happens as well.
*Sigh* Seems like I'm just going to have to wait a while.
Indeed.
getting this too. really pissing me off
Minecraft wont downoad for me and when it did, it closed.
so much lag on my server for others :saddowns:
I run a server and all my plugins decided to break :saddowns: 'Permissions' plugin even said: It sounds really pissed off :v:

Anyone else getting an issue wherein when you create a server, and it loads the world, there is no actual world, and you fall through the map? I can see all the little cows and creepers fall through too.

Seems to be even more stable on Linux than Windows.

I have seen others host on machines that were just as weak, and had no issues; the machine is just running the server for me and my brother, me on my own desktop, and my brother on the host machine. [editline]25th February 2011[/editline] The fact it only has 1G of RAM may be a part of it. I may end up hosting it on my machine, which has 4G RAM, unless the "falling" error is part of the update, and not the computer's fault.
Get MineOS
Based on my research, it seems so much simpler just to run it off my own machine.
If you get the falling problem then all you need to do is wait. It will load the world eventually.

This is happening to alot of people, but for 90% of people it works perfectly fine, I don't understand why.
