Okay i'm going to be honest and blunt here. I pirated GTA 4, i liked it, i bought it. Now it doesn't fucking work because of the anti-piracy shit in it! How ironic. I go to 'Rockstar Games Social Club' Log into my account etc Click play, INSTANTLY 'Securom launcher has stopped working' Has anyone had this? Help! Talking about pirated games is forbidden and you WILL get banned now. Enjoy your last minutes as a free account sir :saddowns: [editline]06:23PM[/editline] You are probally also getting banned for wrong section. We have a GTA IV forum right around the block. EDIT: Rate me bad reading, ALOT PLEASE! (User was banned for this post ("predicting moderation" - Spork-Juct))
I bet he won't.
I haven't met a single person who's got past the moderators for it yet.
Please, post somthing usefull or don't post at all, we don't need you back-seating here, thanks.
Post your OS, pc specs, and so on
I'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with PC specs, but okay
Did you FULLY uninstall the previous GTAIV copy?
Updated OP with specs [editline]07:36PM[/editline] I'm pretty sure i did. I used the standard uninstaller plus deleted every file i could find. I do have software for mounting ISO's etc, does this make Securom blink? Also, remember that the Securom LAUNCHER crashes, so i doubt it's Securom it's self stopping me playing.
Yeah emulation tools make securom go batshit. Try disabling them, if they're enabled.
Still won't work D:

Some parts of the hacky method may still be around but is messing Securom up because it's missing parts of its program.
Okaydoke, how can i go about fixing it.
Okaydoke, how can i go about fixing it.
Well, one point that might work is, if you have a full system restore point it will most likely wipe everything that has existed of the hacky stuff off the hard drive. Another way may be to get rid of the registery entries of the previous copies, though that is alot harder to pinpoint. Well, if everything else fails, you can try to format the drive eh?
All of that to play a fucking game that would have been a lot easier to just continue pirating it? Jesus why does ANYONE buy games? :V
Yeah emulation tools make securom go batshit. Jesus why does ANYONE buy games? :V
I like to buy games so i can support the developer. If everyone had your mindset then nobody would be able to make games. Another note; if you buy games it is quicker to get, no possibility of viruses, you don't need to wait for someone to crack the updates, and it is over all just easier to do.
All of that to play a fucking game that would have been a lot easier to just continue pirating it? Jesus why does ANYONE buy games? :V
Maybe because they don't want to break the law and they want the game makers to keep making games? If everyone pirated, noone would make and you'd be sat on your own playing flash games to pass the time away.
