Good games for a LAN party? - Games

My friend is hosting a LAN party at his house for a birthday party today. So, I ask the question. What good games are there for a LAN party? We're already doing League Of Legends (Which is not LAN, of course), perhaps Minecraft, some VALVe Games (Although I've lost access to my account and waiting for steam support :v:, deleted the old email), Unreal Tournament 1 and maybe some S/NESbox.com games. Any other good LAN games that are free or easy to get? [highlight](User was banned for this post ("Post your" - Orkel))[/highlight]

Artemis is a nice game for a lan a tad nerdy for some. It's not a free game but worth the money, you will need 1 license which you can use for your friends. The game is basically a space ship simulator

Age of Empires 2 and Battlefield 1942

Final Doom (Plutonia Wad) using skulltag/zdoom/other source ports makes for some fun times. Quake 3 Unreal Tournament 1, 2004 or 3 (NOT 2003!) Age of empires 1 and 2 Starcraft 1 Halo 1 CoD 4 Command and Conquer series up until CnC 3. All these games make for some good lan times.

The Ship Alien vs. Predator 2 Age Of Empires 2 GTA SA (Multiplayer mod) Stronghold Crusader WC3 (Although I sort of detest this game...) Rise and Fall Civilizations at War (Never tried this one but it´s probably cool, and its f2p). Battlefield 1942 (With mods, like Galactic Conquest) Get Project64K (N64 Online emulator) and play Super Smash. Diablo 2/3, Torchlight 2 or Path of Exile Arma2

Might I add Heroes of Might and Magic. Playable with only one computer, as it is turnbased. Also SWAT 4.

Borderlands one and two are both great for coop lan

games which are coop multiplayer but have a potential to be an asshole to other players (friendly fire/pushing off cliffs etc) since that always ends in laughs or punches (which end in laughs, at least from everyone else) also hotseat worms is really fun during "offtime"

I personally don't play CoD at all but Modern Warfare 1 LAN is fucking amazing Halo 1/Custom Edition is great too

Halo Custom Edition with certain maps is fucking wonderful.

Half life 2 synergy mod. Playing trough the campaign with 4 people is fun!
