To answer your question to the best of my knowledge, they are kinda even
I've heard M33 is more stable, but since he's no longer updating it, you'd need Gen to play the newer games
However, I read this information three months ago so I've probably forgotten a few things, so don't take what I've said for certain
I generally like M33 better, because of the stability, and (almost) all games run under it, so I think you should stay with M33.
