I dont know if there is already and thread about this game, but I didn't find any. I just wanted to ask your guy's opinion on Star Wars:Knights of the Old Republic. I thought it was a great game, one of my favorites, I liked the first one better than the second one though, I'm just re-installing now 'cuz I wanted to play it again so much
Its awesome.
The soundtrack and atmosphere in this game was amazing for it's time. So many memorable moments in this game.
This is one of the games my Dell can run at 1600x1200(highest it can go), high, and 4x anisotropic filtering.
And still maintain about 20 FPS
No shadows or grass though
I liked the second one better. The characters were more 3D and I felt there was much more extra things to do.
I loved the game heaps. Replayed it numerous times. Although I always felt claustrophobic at the fact that you can't jump.
One of my favourite gave of all times.
I like the second mostly because of it's technical advances, but the first ones story is much more awesome so I'll have to go with that one.
It was cool game. The first ones story was better than the second ones but the characters are rather... One sided.
I like both.
In the first one you were pretty unkillable by other jedis if you were on the good side though.
Definitely one of the coolest games ever. Need to get the english version of the first one though because when I bought it had 4 or 5 disks but one language only :(
Now there is the internet and amazon.co.uk :>
I was young and didn't have the patience for this game when I had it.
It's a shame really because looking back it was a fun game. It just took ages to get cool things.
This is pretty much my favourite game ever. Best star wars game of the last decade.
Insanely Good!
I loved playing through the first one, second one was abit
Meh...
on my side. But its still good! Its all good.
Agree - 500th post :)
One of the best games I've ever played. I'm looking forward to the star wars old republic MMO too.
I actually reinstalled this the other day.
I forgot to backup my saves when I upgraded to w7, was about half way through. I don't have the time to go through it again now :(
I love this game.
I tried playing through it again on my old Xbox, but I got myself in a situation I couldn't get out of, kept dying.
I should have made more then 1 save :saddowns:
KotOR was awesome, but it broke for me a long time ago :smithicide:
Although the first levels in both and the first worlds were always ridiculous, and I hated them. I actually never made it off the first world in the second game, I couldn't figure out what to do or anything.
Although I do wish it had more replayability value.
loved the first and second, i fucking hated the mining facility in the second takes ages to get done, also like that you can turn your party members in to(dark)Jedi's on the second one also loved that they brought back some old party members from the first one, hope they do a third there's so much they can do.

Peragus was shit. Worst damn level in any of the KOTOR games.
Both were probably one of the best 3rd person games I have ever played.
I remember playing this when I was 10. Never really understood what happened and I was greatly annoyed by the fact that I couldn't find out how to aquire a lightsaber.
Too bad I sold the game or I would've played it again to see if it's any good.
I'm considering getting this when I have the cash. Looks amazing.

You should.
This game is probably the second best game I've played (the first one). Not only the great characters and missions, but the atmosphere and the replayability. It's one of those games I never forget about.
The first one was great, but the second one for me was... well it was just awful. The ending especially.

It was incomplete, and a little weird because of that, but it was by no means a bad game. Ending was a bit shit, though, I agree. Did The Sith Lords Restoration Project ever get done?
I first played this years ago, on it's release I think, and again recently. My first time playing it was my first RPG - and I had no idea how anything worked. I ended up only auto-levelling and had no idea how to use force powers, yet it was still more memorable than my second playthrough more recently.
I'm playing through it for the first time right now.
Oh god. The [sp]revelations in the first one. It made my jaw drop when I found out your character was Revan.[/sp]

[sp] yeah, I shoulda made a second save to play good and bad, but i just did good, on bad you get his mask right? i thought it was cool how you ripped the languages from their minds[/sp]
If I replace the steam exe with a no-cd for the widescreen patch, will it still launch through Steam properly? Like, my status will say in-game and I'll be able to access the overlay.
