Blockland was orginally released by Eric "Badspot" Hartman as a free game in 2005. Many poor people who can't be arsed buying the game still use the beta. However , Eric later released the game as a commercial product. It is currently on sale for $19.95 ( £12) at [url=http://www.blockland.us/index.asp?p=Store] this link. [/url]
Not long after Eric released it commercially , a user posted a thread on FP , which had a huge "Blockland Rush" , claiming almost every 4000 ID ( ID belonging to each user , accumulates) . We seemed new , however with the IDs now reaching in the 20,000s , we can officially be called old.
If you have ever played Roblox , you will realise that you won't get banned for saying "holy batman" , but still keep your eyes out. I was banned from a server simply because my name was Hemroid_Man and not Hemorrhoid_Man. There are still decent servers with decent people in them!
You can also add your own content to Blockland , such as custom blocks , "Print Decals" ( Used to make your build that slight bit nicer) , Face and body decals , sounds , and scripts.
Note: The scripting language is "Torque Script" , since the game runs on the Torque game engine.

How many players does it have online normally, and how moddable is it? I've been interested in this game for a while, if it had server-side contraption physics like Roblox does I'd ditch that and buy this in a hot second, but it doesn't.
Blockland is Robloxs rival.
I own blockland, it's a nice game, without lag and with better graphics than roblox...
There's a bunch of mods for it, with vehicles, weapons, zombies... Everything !
Saddly, the physics is only client-side.

Yes , I never said it wasn't.
By brother I mean a similie. Like a brother , it's from the same family , in this case , a weird lego building game , and also because there is more than one of it , so it isn't an orphan , so to speak.

Blockland is much better than Roblox.
Didn't think I'd be able to get my keys back, then I found all you have to do is enter your email in and it sends you all the keys registered to the email, awesome :)

I used to play Blockland a lot back when it was free, I bought the full version but my interest pretty much died soon after, it was still fun, could probably get back into it.
If you do, join the Facetown server.
It still annoys me how the physics aren't serverside.

I would trade my HL2: episode one key for a copy. I know it's not much, but even so.
I remember building a huge umbrella corporation style building like 900 units under the ground with working full elevators and shit. It had all kinds of different doors and such. :iia:

Online at one time, I'd say above 4000. There's over 11,000 players total, and growing.
As for modding, it has an add-on system that uses Torquescript.
Physics at the moment have only been RECENTLY added, and are currently clientside. We may see serverside physics in a future update. Download the demo and check it out. It far surpasses ROBLOX in nearly every way, and is overall a much more professionally done indie game. It's probably one of the better games out there right now.
Anyway there was already a thread on this with a lot more content.
