I really didn't think they could be any more blatantly greed motivated, but they have once again outdone themselves. They are hosting an "Indie" games competition. But from the looks of it, they are really hosting a "Give us your innovative ideas and full plan of execution, and we may even put your name on it in the end, if you'r lucky."
What do you all think?

Jesus christ, will they sink no lower?
My god...
Now they are shitting on the little guys, not cool.
I support Activision. 90% of indie Devs are shit and expect me to pay money for something I can play for free on Kongregate.

You have reasons, although I can't imagine after seeing that what would they be...
The terms kinda say: "Yeah we'll totally steal your game, and you have to agree that we do that to win the competition"
douchebags

Worst part is, I don't think they even give a good reward. :P

Yeah! Fuck those guys for trying to make money for their talent! They should definitely do use their skills and abilities to give free games to talentless hackjobs like yourself!
Lets twist a company's legal documents because we disliked their last game.
Some of the best games I've played are indie. Penumbra, Time Gentlemen, please, Aquaria, World of Goo...
Which is why I said 90%.
I didn't say Kongregate was better either, I pointed out that if I wanted to play some highly experimental sidescroller then I'd play it on Kongregate or Newgrounds or any of these sites.
I can understand them not wanting any details being known at all but they could perhaps have been more lenient on the offers part.
Well at least fort Zombie escaped them...
I've said it before;
I'm not buying games from Activision anymore.

Obvious troll is obvious
This is kind of like the antithesis of the valve strategy to indie developers.
Imagine if the Narbacular Drop team had gotten into this kind of deal with Activision... they'd be making Narbacular Drop sequels for 3 year olds for the next 25 years...

I think they just publish your game and you get a bit of money or something while they take most of the profits

The game was a love/hate affair. The treatment of the development team, however, was appalling.
So we're totally sure Activision is stealing ideas now!!!!

You know "Indie" doesn't mean "Flash game"

Because everything you read is true... RIGHT?
Indie games suck.
Meh. I'm not an indie game dev, so I don't really care. I don't play Activision games. If the indie dev's lose their games, they'll be inspired to make a better game and take on Activision, thus hopefully causing more good games.
Just my lousy train of thought.
Fucking cunts. This is despicable.

I said this when? Might want to read my post again, bro.
All this is is wild speculation, you're tools for buying into it instantly.

You did actually imply that, twice. And I'm a fool for reading their official contest rules and agreements and seeing them for what they are?

Not all experimental games are made in flash.
Indie games are great, maybe they seem weird and somewhat "shittier" but afterall they're great.
Lets hope Zynga enter....
