A while back I sold mw2 but I now really regret doing so. I seem to be craving its online multiplayer but I dont wont to commit a whole 60 or so bucks to it. Is cod 4s online just as good and its community still alive and well? I have WaW but it just dosent feel the same. Any help would be appreceated. I will be buying for 360 btw.

Call of duty 4 still has players on all platforms and is more balanced and overall better then MW2's multiplayer.
I prefer CoD 4's community now because it's really only hardcore fans and people who can't afford the new one left playing it.

CoD4's multiplayer seems more "realistic", as far as CoD goes anyway.
I never played modern warfare multiplayer that much i much prefer mw 2
CoD4 is much more fun and produces less rage.

Well I bought it and Im having a good time with it. I know everybody complains about the mp5 but I hardly ever notice anyone using them, there seems to be a good diversity in the weapons being used too. I also noticed I dont get kicked every other map because I didnt download any map packs.
I played COD4 for a match or two when the MW2 servers were down a few months ago. It was pretty bad in comparison
COD4 you can mod, for PC of course.
They have a star wars mod for it which is cool.

It does? I was just about to reinstall COD4 on my newer PC with Windows 7 64bit.

That mod is pretty damn bad actually. The gameplay is almost exactly like the main game, its more like a skin pack than a mod.
Well it was last time I played it, and the CoD4 modding community barely gets anything really cool done, so I expect it is the same.
On CoD4 I could play Hardcore Deathmatch and actually enjoy it. On MW2 it's just a big ol' ragefest.

No difference, just makes the game more fair is all.
CoD4 has the M14, Good looking ak47, and the 74u. Therefore it wins, MW2 is a faggot.
CoD4's multiplayer just feelt so... smooth after I tried MW2.
They are both pretty mediocre in my opinion but CoD 4 is better.
I prefer CoD4, although I really suck at it after I've been playing MW2 for a few months.

Does MP crash on start up? If it does, plug in a mic if you have one. It sounds weird but it fixed it for me.
