Dungeon Master Thread - Games

!This game is for BYOND! In this game you start in a land where different manners of creatures roam free, from wolfs to demons. You must find a place near ample food and building resources, so that you may founhd a settlement and thrive. Whether your human or kobold, or even rat people you'll need things like wood and bone in order to build. When making things like doors and such, you are able to craft things like spears and leather armor, that will aid you in thriving off the lush land. Be warned though, each region comes with challenges, and require careful planning. However if you should settle somewhere more quiet, your likely to less be bothered by others. Races Guide: Werewolves - They're creatures who can rip you to shreds, their claws just above power of a legendary hell sword, they can bite and infect humans into werewolves. That you can control, also they turn into werewolves every night, need I say more? Spiders - The always awesome(In my book anyways) spider race, able to use a queen to do just about anything that a spider could do. Including spinning webs, and more. Only the spiders are pretty smart, did i mention they have posion too? Spiders rely on their queen for a lot of things, but do not underestimate spiders, except for when their little because you can't underestimate, but otherwise, ever wander into a spider's den as an enemy, and your plain screwed. SandKings(Insert High-spirited music of your religion here) - The almighty sandkings, thought they take time to molt, when they do, their not a foe you should want. They have the ability at level 4 to make rare creatures like vampires and skeletons, even werewolves if I recall correctly. You cannot underestimate them, they are insidiously flexible. They can spawn things like humans, among others... Not to mention they're probably the most rare with only a 4 percent chance of getting one when first entering a server. If you should ever get to be one, I'd count your blessings... Vampires - If you should happen to get these, your quite fortunate. They are able to feed off humans and I believe turn people into vampires. They can even somehow manage to create a daywalker, a vampire able to live in...!GASP! The light! Kobolds - They are another creature, like human except for some reason they love to use bones instead of stone, or is it wood? Don't remember, in either case for digging and cutting down trees, they don't need picks and axes, so they're pretty good if your going underground. They also can eat fungus, so you could have a whole underground colony if you wanted to. I personally prefer humans though, as I love my own species the best for one because I know it better then all else, or at least I'd like to think. Humans - The good ol' hairless monkeys, or someone along that line thought we were(Although Darwin actually only said that we just came from a common ancestor, he didn't directly say we came from monkeys.) Humans are frail, obviously, but on the bright side they are more skilled with wood then other races, and you can get wood a lot more easily then stone. They can also do the usual, masonry, wood and stone walls and floors, etc. Slithers - These guys are the rarest of the rare, they're snake people able to consume foes, however their chances of doing so are rather poor. I however play them all the time, and although they're not very enabled with things like crafting, their still fun to play as. They are also eseential to keep the rat population in check, otherwise they'd overrun the whole world. In fact, even with slithers they still pose a great threat. Ratpeople - These are a force to be reckoned with, although their strength doesn't lie in their individuals, but rather their ability to swarm. They conceive three rat people at a time, so I wouldn't advise taking them lightly. But however, to help keep them in check, the slithers are here to help by eating some. They are a excellent way to help get rid of these pests, as they are automatically eaten whenever a slither tries to consume one. How to get Started: Basically, whatever your race be, your going to need food, so you'll need to find a water source to live by, so that you can fish if you want a constant water source, but if you want other resources at least find a plant so you can make crops, like tomatoes or grapes, or better yet some wheat. In either case, once you've found your spot, your going to want to build a nice sound structure with 4 walls to keep the wolves and other stray creatures at bay. Press b to open up your build menu. its basically dwarf fortress, but way fucking harder to play because you can't just set commands and your guys will just do it. don't even bother trying unless you want to have a hard time, you even have to make them mate and shit.

Come on guys! Just give it a shot! It's a lot of fun! You can do all kinds of things on it like build an inn or a village, it might not be easy to get into at first, but trust me I know once you do you'll love it.

This is really cool, i tryed a few seconds of it, and you can do like anything. Dwarf Fortress multiplayer! WOHOO! WITHOUT BEING FORCED TO BE A DWARF! BOOOOH YEAH! We need a Facepunch Kobold Colony..

I had a colony with Kobolds, and I was digging my entrance hall when I realized that its freaking annoying to have to carefully monitor your kobold the entire time, making sure he keeps digging, instead of just selecting the whole lot. Then I imagined picking up all the stones and taking them away, and I got even more annoyed...

The server is unstable as fuck [editline]04:33PM[/editline] So I was attacked by other kobolds instantly as I started out, I don't know what the fuck to do, the newbie's "Guide" does shit in comparison. Overall, shitty game. [editline]04:49PM[/editline] Doesn't show me how to build also.
