Is there sense in still buying a 360? - Games

Because there's no 360 forum anymore I guess I have to make a new thread here. I don't mean if the 360 is worth buying, I'm asking if there's any sense in getting one at this stage? What are the chances of MS releasing a new console in the next year or so? There's a pretty good deal [url=http://www.pcworld.co.uk/martprd/product/seo/959246]here[/url] that I'm interested in, but I don't know if it would really be worth it at this stage. Thoughts?

360 and PS3 are meant to have a product lifecycle of at least 10 years so there's still sense in getting one.

I'd still say it's worth it. Apparently this console generation will be the longest yet.

Yeah I don't think there's going to be a new gen of consoles for awhile, and some sweet looking games are starting to come out

360 has been pretty much maxed out from what I've heard from Devs, so I wouldn't be so sure.

Why not, although graphics wise it probably is near maxed-out, but that doesn't really matter much.

I'd get it. It's probably gonna be a few more years until a new generation of gaming consoles appear, and there's still a lot of games you've missed out on since the 360 was released.

Spend that money on buying a new GPU. Inv3rt is dumb, don't take his advice.

I seriously doubt the 360 and PS3 will last 10 years, I bet in a couple of years they'll announce next gen. If you have a decent PC there's really no reason to go out and spend all that money right now unless you've got a bunch of friends playing on 360.

I would buy xbox360, but we have shitty support in Ukraine, and I will need to wait shitload of time if my Xbox will brake.

I prefer PC myself, but if I had to choose a console I would have to go with the 360. Possibly the PS3 just because I wouldn't have to pay for Live.

It doesn't look like they're going to bring out a new console generation any time soon so, if you can't afford a decent gaming PC and your friends have 360s too, there's still sense in buying one.
