I need a second opinion on something, should I download Dungeon Keeper 2? I mean since it's abandonware nobody would care right?

It would run properly through compatibility mode, but check on steam if you can buy it before you download it because you never can be sure if it's abandonware.
Dungeon Keeper 2 is still [URL=http://www.theesa.com/]ESA[/URL] supported, downloading the game is not legal.
Getting DK2 to run on a modern machine is pretty annoying, but it's nothing impossible and there's certainly games that are harder to get working decently.
Like System Shock 2.
