the best RE game of all time ?
the one I started off with will be #1 to me wicth is RE2 but I also love RE1-4 (CV as well)

But I enjoy Resident Evil the most cause it has a campy feeling to it.
Zero, and the first game, most will say 4 and 5 i bet. They are both awesome but they arent really RE imo the camera doesnt give it the same flow as the older games. Plus the enemies arnt really zombies anymore, no more getting chewed on :(
I was happy to see that RE5 brought back the inventory system, dam i feel like playing zero now but i cba looking for my gamecube.

I've played the original RE, RE2 and RE3, I never played any others (although I've seen a lot of Code Veronica back in the days on the Dreamcast at my cousin's place, but I never owned it). And from those I'd say that RE2 is the "best", yes, but RE3 was very fun as well, also the original is also good.
I say Resident Evil 4. I've played 2, 3, 4 and 5 and none of them were as good as 4 to me.

I played that game way too much actually beat the village portion of the game in just 30 mins from a new game
4, definetely. Not only because Los Plagas are scarier than zombies, but god damn is Leon badass.

I love them all, as for my favourite I would probably pick RE2.
RE3 for me, with 4 being the worst.

I don't hate any of them, but 5 was pretty much the same thing as 4, only that it had Wesker as a villain, who was infinitely better than Saddler (and the Napoleonic zombie dwarf).

Grew up with RE3 so it's my favourite, RE4 was alright but was lacking most of those things that made me love the previous game. Although Leon was pretty awesome.

I'm having a hard time by choosing RE2 or RE4. I really liked Outbreak, RE5 was okay even though it wasn't scary.
RE2, of course. Not only it's a true Resident Evil game, it's also a great sequel.
REmake <AWESOME. Best Remake Of A Great Title. Crimson Heads!
RE4 <Completely surprised me; great game
RE2 <Classic Title
RE:CVX <intriguing plot. Memorable Villains as well.
RE3 <Nemesis is great, but very short and boring.
RE5 <Fun Coop, tried and true gameplay; Failed in Horror Atmosphere.
RE0 <Even more boring then RE5; Despite innovating the classic formula.
This is how I feel about the Resident Evil series.
I played RE4 once on PS2 and it was awesome, just because of the setting and how scary it was, years later I bought it for myself and the graphics just didn't seem as good as I remembered, so it was't very immersive. I bought RE5 on steam and I've completely maxed that game out, unlocked everything, so you could say I like that one a bit :)
RE1> I can't play it without going "fuck it she walks like a tank" Horrible backtracking.
RE2> Awesome, better than RE1.
RE3> Nemesis scared the shit out of me but it's still too short.
RE4, Great game that did more things right than it's sequel, Horrible escorting though.
RE5> failed in it's atmosphere by giving you a constant partner and a hulking mass of boulder punching muscle.
CVx> Oh my oh my, That annoying brat who crosses his arms when shooting, and that incompetent rifleman, his freaky sister (major incest undertones) and their freaky ass father. I though it was dull, boring and just overall tedious. The story also doesn't go anywhere, Claire is right back where she started at the end.
