Everytime I compile a map from Hammer Editor. It comes up with the same map. Even when I changed it.
My VMF dir
C:\program files\steam\steamapps\christianbryant\halflife2\hl2\maps
Once I compiled the map, I place it in C:\program files\steam\steamapps\christianbryant\halflife2 deahtmatch\hl2mp\addons\Dave's Place\maps
When I am in game it continues to come up with the old map I used a while back(The first time I compiled it to test it out ). Basically every time I try to compile this map even with new stuff in it, it continues to show the first map I compiled.
I have deleted all the files, the addons, and maps. I made sure that I wasn't using the same map that I used at first. I replaced the new map with the old maps, and it keeps showing the first one.
There are no errors in the map properties. There are also no compile errors about this.
Before I compile it, it appears like this.

But when in game, it continues to show like this.

This has happened to me queite a few times. In Garry's Mod as well.

I went to RUN and ran it on normal for the 100th time and it oddly worked. Although the Base Portal Section took unusually long and slow then my other compiles.

have you renamed the file? that might work, i know you deleted it but it might still recognise it
Make sure there are no leaks. View or Tools>Load Pointfile or something like that.
Well, I do have a leak, with a prop, if that counts. Maybe your right, let me see.
Edit: Nope, it did not

Had this happened quite a lot when I was mapping. Pissed me so much I just gave up on the whole Mapping idea.
Sorry dude, ya its starting to piss me off too. Maybe this is the cure? http://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Compile_Errors

Are you compiling it on fast mode? I think this happened to me when I compiled in fast mode. Compile it in normal.
