EVE. For the fact that you get what you put into it. Also the sheer amount of freedom you have in it.
I played WoW, got to 80, did some raids, and then pooped on my subscription and went back to eve.
I just prefer one over the other.

city of heroes was pretty much the only MMO i've ever enjoyed
its pretty nice not having to worry about armor stats
it's not the best MMO, it isn't considered a MMO by some people, but I do really enjoy Guild Wars
I like Guild Wars...
I personally enjoy WoW, but to be honest I haven't tried any other game.
I was thinking hard about starting EVE but decided not to.

Guild Wars is not an MMO.
The [B]best[/B] one is WoW (or UO, but it's a bit old now). As for my favourite, I have no idea.
I think Eve is the best one, as it is the only one were you can do what ever the hell you want if you feel like it.
For example. If I would be mining and wanted to do something more exiting, i'll just train missile skills or gunnery and start killing. Once that gets boring I can start looking at the marketplace to find a niche to make money. In WoW, you create a character and can only do what the character is designed to do.

it's basically opinion based. you can ask people who play it and they say it's an MMO and the publisher (NCsoft) says it's an MMO. but a large amount of the MMO community say it's not mainly because of instancing which make it singleplayer if adventuring with bots or its multiplayer CO-OP if you party with actual players
Guildwars is an MMO. It has a lot of players and it's online. Massively Multiplayer Online game.
some would disagree though. But I personally considerate it a MMO.
