I reccently bought gta:san an for my pc of steam, I want to install a mod([url]http://www.biohazardalert.com/index.php[/url]) how do I install this without having to mess up the originoal game files, and make it apear on steam as a mod, so i can still play sa normally but also have the mod?\

And the mod doesn't work with version 3.0.

You won't get it installed as a mod though.
However, you might (repeat: might) be able to do this by copying the whole SA folder somewhere else, installing the mod on that as well as the downgraded exe, then use "add a non-steam game" if you really need a link in Steam.
But I don't know how integrated the SA data is with Steam. I just know there's no mod support in Steam for it.
You probably shouldn't have bought it on Steam and since, as far as I know, you can't downgrade the Steam version which in turn makes it so you can't mod the game either.
You can downgrade the Steam version, and the Steam shortcut still works too.
