I have a regular black PS2 Dualshock 2 controller, hooked up with a ps2 to usb converter and I bring it open in Game Controllers in the control panel. Upon opening it, it is listed as PS(R) Controller Adaptor. The analog sticks and clicking them down show as buttons and axis, but none of the face buttons/ d-pad buttons/ or triggers work, or show up in the advanced menu. Anybody have any pointers? I'd like to use this on Half life 2 if at all possible
Sometimes I have to press Select + Triangle then Select + X. For some reason, Select + Triangle 'unplugs' it and Select + X 'plugs' it back in. You may have to press it a few times until you hear the connect/disconnect sounds. I'm on a PS3 controller but it should work with the PS2 controller.
