I have an idea for a King Of The Hill + weapon progression gamemode for CSGO, but alas, I am an idiot when it comes to coding.
Basically, this gamemode features three alternating hills/control points on a map (one active at a single time), capturing these awards a team point each (the just captured hill is deactivated, and the next hill on the map becomes active), and the Arms Race-esque weapon progression serves to add variety to the pacing and gamestyles of players. First team that has 10 points wins.
How would I go about scripting such a servermod for CSGO? Are there good tutorials or examples for doing so?
Just a question, what would the points do? Do the points earned actually do anything? Cause if not, you could substitute it for another function, I guess. You could make it so the entire map has everything in it and all you need to do is set it to Arms-Race.
The first team that has 10 points wins. Meaning, the Arms Race-esque weapon progression is NOT a part of the objective. This mod would have its own custom order of weapons which loops, cycling players through various weapons endlessly to add variety to the gunplay and game pacing.
If a team has 10 points it triggers a win condition for that particular team, ending the round.
