The Steam for Mac games have been increasing in numbers with new releases every wednesday. However last wednesday, Valve didn't update as promised. At first there was a little unrest, people whining. Then after a couple days passed and Valve said nothing about it, a riot started in the Mac section of the Steam forums. Finally a Valve employee spoke up and said there'd be an update this thursday (June 8th, a week and a day after the promised update).
Now a couple of days ago, the people who are signed up to the CS:S beta on PC started seeing both CSS:S beta and TF2 appear on their games list. That means TF2 for mac is basically ready.
Now the thing is, when they do a Mac update for Valve games, they also update the PC version. My prediction is either CS:S beta goes public, or TF2 gets released on mac along with the ENGY UPDATE.
What do you guys think will get updated on the PC front on thursday?
You said Mac. Expect a flame war.

They wouldn't release a big update without having a week beforehand to show everything in it.

Tuesday isn't over yet! :science:
i thought thursday was the fourth day of the week
today is tuesday
Accounting for Valve Time, looks like you guys will be waiting another month.
It's not the CS:S beta going public, it only just got released for Mac.

I know that. I have both a Mac and a PC, and I missed the beta for PC, so now I don't have CS:S or TF2 on mac. But Valve promised something for this thursday, and if it's a Valve game and not a third party game, then whatever gets released also gets updated? Remember all the half-life 2 updates 2 weeks ago? That was at the same time that they got released on Mac.

I've been using Steam on PC for years, I know what Valve time is. All the brand new mac users though are shitting bricks on the forums, threatening to leave Steam if Valve doesn't start meeting their deadlines.
Team fortress 2 is running on the Orange Box version of the source enginge ... No update needed

Ok maybe not an update, but what if TF2 gets released for Mac and at the same time they announce Engy.
They wont announce engy update until polycount is over. They're putting others' stuff in it.
i called it in another thread that it is the engie update
I hope the macs don't get TF2 before the PC's get engie update.
In other words, the servers will explode.
