Hey, there's LOADS of people who want it and i think this would be a good place to start at.
http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/pretbc/
That is the link, when i get around 10000 votes or so i'm going to send it to blizzard. So, please help us out with this. Thank you guys.

Basically you sign it for a vanilla realm
rate me dumb if you want it
Won't happen.
Won't happen.
EDIT: Will not happen.
If I remember correctly Blizzard already said they won't do this.
http://www.wow.com/2009/03/13/no-vanilla-wow-realms-really/
Blizzard already stated that they will never do something like this as it takes away from the World of Warcraft experience and they also don't want to split the community like that.
[editline]11:58AM[/editline]
Besides, online petitions never work and if they did or Blizzard considered it, ten thousand isn't even remotely close to a good amount of people. Definitely not enough to warrant making a bunch of new realms and just saying "Fuck all the hard work and time we spent making Burning Crusade and Wrath of the Lich King, let's go back to old outdated content."
on the subject of realms, I wish they'd add in a machinimators realm, something like planning out camera routes and so on but yes yes i know it won't happen - just like this vanilla realm
You can do that with WoW Machinima Tool. It's categorised as "hack" though so sadly it only is viable to do on Private Servers.
Not signing it.
Wish I could experience some old vanilla wow stuff a bit longer as I'm a latecomer to WoW, but I trust blizzard to do this right. So, not signing.
Fuck Vanilla WoW.

That is really funny because WoW site are hosting some Machinima movies.

yeah but its automatically categorised as hack since you can pretty much noclip and it fucks around with your memory
Why would you want vanilla WoW back?
Why would you want vanilla WoW back?
Because he was bad and never got to see vanilla content.
Because he was bad and never got to see vanilla content.
I got to see a lot of vanilla content and I still want a vanilla server. I mean theres a way I could revert all the naxx spells and onyxia spells back to level 60, but it'd be too much work and people wouldn't want to download it.
I'd rather waste my time trying to get the latest on the latest stuff of wow than going back to old shiz.
I really wish people would stop going on about getting Vanilla WoW back.. It's not going to happen, EVER.
What's so great about Vanilla WoW?
What's so great about Vanilla WoW?
The old days are always cooler for people who experienced them.
Nevertheless, won't happen. Blizzard says no and they've been saying no ever since the release of the burning crusade.
Vanilla WoW felt a lot more, excuse me for using this word, epic. 40 players made it seem like much more of an accomplishment for everybody.

It's also a lot harder to get a PuG with 40 people. I think they should add in 40 man raids again, however, but with the 10 and 25 mans. It would be fun to do 40 but you would really need a raiding guild to get into it with any success methinks.

Did you raid and PVP actively with the community before cross-realm battlegrounds were released?
And if you guys got your vanilla WoW servers? What would you do once you got to endgame raiding and had maxed gear? I just don't see vanilla servers lasting for more than just a nostalgia trip.
And if you guys got your vanilla WoW servers? What would you do once you got to endgame raiding and had maxed gear? I just don't see vanilla servers lasting for more than just a nostalgia trip.
remember, people lasted more than 2 years with vanilla WoW (and the big patches were just stuff like battlegrounds and instances)
also remember how only 10% of the people cleared naxx? only because there wasn't any time for the other guilds to complete it (there were a few months between TBC and naxx)
So I think people will stay around for a while.
Why are you suggesting that the devs putting a large amount of time and hard work into making a instance that only 10% of the population saw a good thing?
Would seem to me that it was very bad design if 90% of your player base never saw something like that.

like I said, they never got to see it because they released the instance way too close to the burning crusade release (people stopped raiding, people who were in naxx kept trying, there was no reason to raid as every person could just grind warlord/marshal gear in 2 days)
that's why just 10% saw it.
Now everyone has seen it and just uses it as a way for "free medals and epixxxx". like every instance before ulduar/TotC

Why not? How many people do you think are on a server? If 10,000 people were willing to pay to play the old game, that's a lot of money for Blizzard. How much effort could it take on their behalf?

Theres millions who play, wake up.
Theres millions who play, wake up.
about 5 to 6 million people over the whole world all on different servers. Most servers that are full/locked have a population of 8000-9000
So 10000 people would actually be enough for 1 whole server.
