The Nomadic Experience - Games

Here's another challenge for you guys: Rules: 1. Play on normal or hard mode 2. Build only basic structures. 3. Never stay in one place for more than one night. 4. Day must be spent traveling or gathering materials. 5. 1 life, if you die you must delete world and start over. 6. You can only explore above ground caves for ore. 7. You must leave your mine after night, and you cannot return to it. [editline]23rd February 2011[/editline] Also the objective is to eventually get into the nether

Hmmm.... I might do a video on this. I've always wondered how that might work out.

rule 6 might be hard to follow and get into the nether. Iron isn't exactly common above ground.

Well, you could always find above ground Lava streams.

Me and my friend were doing this for like 2 hours going in the same direction. we only got like 2 Km away from the world origin. and it took us like 15 minuets to get back.

I end up doing this all the time, it's not very hard at all, heck, 95% of the time I'm building I don't even dig mines, I just level down a mountain or something. :v:

I think I've heard of this before, though it was called "Go West" or "Westward Bound" and the idea was that you could only go west and had to survive 7 in-game days.

I'm going to give this a try, complex bases are overrated! Gonna do this with my bro, should be fun :buddy:

It got way easier to survive night though, since a bed floating 3 blocks above the ground is inaccessible to any mobs.

I tried something like this on the Glacier seed, just to see what the world looked like. I did not survive long. I'll probably try seeding my username next and do this there.

I almost always play like this, give or take a few rules. Staying in one spot until you're untouchable is boring for me. With this method, you always get something new and you get the most out of you world.

Alright! I did it in 3 days and caught it on video! Will post once I'm done editing it!
