WipEout V3 - Tribes still can't keep up - Games

'Sup. this is a thread about wipeout. [b]What is this?[/b] I feel sorry for you. it was awesome. anyway, Wipeout is mario kart and MNC's child. futuristic anti-gravity combat racing. [B]Backstory[/B] The year is roughly 2020, and Pierre belmondo defies every single law of physics and creates the first anti-gravity generator. Transport is changed forever. New laws of physics needed to be made. It's the future, baby. A few years later, AG-SYSTEMS, the company Pierre owns, Moves to japan. The EU panics, and creates FEISAR so Europe isn't left behind in the dust. Meanwhile in japan, two AG-SYS employees fall out. One employee thinks that AG tech should be made for the good of mankind. Pierre agreed with her. Another witnessed the demand for AG tech first hand, and thought Pierre was daft for refusing to profit off it. Eventually, the situation got so tense, Pierre had to fire them. The first went to America to create Auricom, while the second went to russia to create Quirex. Meanwhile in brazil, two teams Pir and hana merged to created Pir-hana. Hmm, that name sounds familiar. Anyway, WipEout 2048 now takes place. Zone mode introduced, and becomes a crowd favourite. The teams are: FEISAR, Assegai, harimau(new appearance), AG-sys, pirhana, auricom, triakis(new appearance),Quirex,Zone(gold all zone tracks),medevil(Earn 80 gold medals.). Goteki 45, icaras, puma, tigron and van-uber are DLC. It is based inbetween pure and pulse. canocially, FX-350 is a proving ground and is made up of tracks from both games. everyone from the last game, pulse, is stock craft. zone mode is loads better. this one is for ps3, hence the thread tag. also has an expansion called fury, adding loads more of the tracks from the last two games, zone race and detonator. also puts eliminator back in HD. The tracks aren't especially designed anymore, nope, you're racing through the streets of near-future cities including new york and maybe others. Also includes a new, green weapon pad where it only gives you the defensive items (Sheild, boost, etc), and the old weapon pad, which just gives weapons. Altima VII returns! Yay! This one has 10% more deadmau5. Really liking the look of (what I assume is) the Feisar craft in 2048. Not really faithful to the classic feisar design, but cool nevertheless. Unless I'm mistaken and feisar isn't even in the game for some reason, in which case I'm disowning the product and boycotting the vita.

Feisar here. First played 2097 when I was no age. I've been on and off the series due to platform choice, got Pure and Pulse on PSP. Would love to play HD, but no PS3 for me, sadly :<

Because, holy shit. How have you not heard of a series as prolific as Wipeout? Even I knew of it, and I don't normally play racing games. Got to admit, Wipeout HD is god damn sexy. I don't think I would have paid for it, but it has been great fun since we got it in the compensation offer.

I didn't own any Sony consoles past the PS1 so sadly I've only played up to Wipeout 3. I love how believable Wipeout is compared to F-zero or any other sci-fi racing game.

Sweet just beat Wipeout 2048 with everything elite passed. Now I can go pimpin' online with my chrome skins.

Loved these games. I remember playing them for the PS1 and PS2.

I still got Wip3out on the PS1 with that awesome CD. Awesome game.
