• Mom keeps bugging me about what game I want, but I can't think of one.

Basically, my step dad is Christian and my mom is Jewish, so we normally give gifts for chanukah, and then celebrate christmas without giving gifts. I didn't really want anything this year because I have a decent computer that I can run games on, and an xbox 360, plus I know that we don't have a lot of money to spend right now. I told my mom that I don't want anything, but she refused to go with it and called me from Walmart listing off games that the electronics manager recommended to her. That night she gave me Fallout 3 on 360, and an 8gb microSD card for my phone. I already have a 4gb microSD card that I hardly use, so I gave the 8gb to my step dad. Then my mom said she wanted to get me something else because I already had the card (she didn't know apparently). I told her I don't want anything, but then a few days later she asked again, and she asked again today. The only games I really partially want are CoD:MW2, Forza 3, or Rock Band. I might be getting Rock Band Special Edition from a guy on craigslist tomorrow with money my uncle gave me, so that's off the list, and even though I told her I might be getting that, she still insists on getting me something. I decided I'll just ask for a game because she obviously really wants to get me something seeing she's asked me 3 times, hell when she asked today I said that I don't want anything, and she said "But I WANT to get you something." So what's a good game for me to ask for? I don't want to ask for a game that's more then $60. What I have: Fallout 3 Call of Duty 4 Halo 3 Call of Duty World at War GTAIV Borderlands Resident Evil 5 Any suggestions?
Whatever you do, don't tell anyone on Facepunch you're getting MW2, they'll never respect you. In fact, I recommend Dirt 2 over Forza 3.
Get MW2. Just to spite Brandon.
Bad Company 2 (when it comes out)
I tried it on PC, it wasn't THAT bad.
Whatever you do, don't tell anyone on Facepunch you're getting MW2, they'll never respect you.
You know... some people actually like MW2... stop jumping on the fucking bandwagon...
Left 4 Dead 2?
You know... some people actually like MW2... stop jumping on the fucking bandwagon...
A majority of all MW2 related posts on FP are anti-MW2.
Old games...I like you. Out of all of those I would say Fallout 3. If you like rpgs alot.
Don't get me wrong, I own MW2, but it seriously wasn't worth it.
You know... some people actually like MW2... stop jumping on the fucking bandwagon...
This. I love MW2.
Old games...I like you. Out of all of those I would say Fallout 3. If you like rpgs alot.
Those are games I already have

Just go for MW2. It's overall a pretty good game, nothing amazing, but nothing to turn your nose up at either. [editline]07:43PM[/editline] Though, I'd say just ask for a gift card from somewhere that sells games so you can pick up ME2 when it comes out.
Whatever you do, don't tell anyone on Facepunch you're getting MW2, they'll never respect you.
That's called trolling, provoking a negative response from other people (aka people who like MW2). He didn't ask for your opinion on MW2, you just gave it probably to spite those who like MW2 thus you are a troll. @OP I'm facing the exact same problem you are having, I was expecting Mass Effect 2 for christmas, but nope, delayed it to fucking January. Pissed me the hell off.

I can't really get into an RPG like that.

Please, proceed on looking like a jackass.

Plus I might get one of them tomorrow anyways.

[editline]09:51PM[/editline] For the record, I have over a week played in MW2. Hardly trolling.

Definitely get that game, it was much better than the first one in both the story and the gameplay. It takes a good amount of time to beat too, pretty long game, kept me entertained the whole way through. The freerunning is great, combat requires more strategy and gives more possibilities, and the stealth system is much more realistic (you must actually melt into a crowd of people to properly hide yourself).
For the record, I have over a week played in MW2. Hardly trolling.
That doesn't change your comment's obvious negative connotation.
Mass Effect 2
Mass Effect 2
Another troll; it's not out yet.
Definantly That doesn't change your comment's obvious negative connotation.
Should've had your internet thesaurus and dictionary opened the whole time. Probably wouldn't of made that error there. My post was hardly negative. I didn't say the game was bad in any way, all I did was infer the attitude of FP towards the game. Check the News Node for MW2 threads pre-december.

I'm sure everyone who read your post would agree with me. [editline]04:20AM[/editline] And OP, Assasin's Creed II what say you?
I rented ACII and didn't really like it. Didn't like AC much either. Worth renting, not buying IMO.
Stop playing video games this instant
I rented ACII and didn't really like it. Didn't like AC much either. Worth renting, not buying IMO.
I agree with you on the part I bolded. However, I did enjoy ACII substantially more than I did the first.
I rented ACII and didn't really like it. Didn't like AC much either. Worth renting, not buying IMO.
Okay, one thing though. Why would you buy (as opposed to rent) a single player game to begin with? I'd say if you rent it, then you obviously enjoyed it to some extent.
Okay, one thing though. Why would you buy a single player game to begin with? I say if it's worth your time at all, it's worth it.
That makes no sense. Renting a game isn't buying it. I'm saying I'd rather pay $5 and have it for a few days over paying $60 and trying to sell it when I get bored of it.
