MW2: No Female Characters? - Games

I know this is late, but while playing Modern Warfare today, I suddenly realized, that there are no female characters whatsoever what happened? Sure, they're was only one female character in the first Modern Warfare, but still at least I got the feeling that women existed in that game. So what are your thoughts on this? I know this isn't very important, but it kinda surprised me. Oh please, all bandwagoners please don't turn this into a Modern Warfare 2 hate thread.

There are a lot of people who refuse to play as women, or don't want women in their war stories. It makes them feel insecure. Most of those people are teenagers, which is mw2's target demographic.

To be honest even if there were women I've got a feeling they could only be on the Russian side, since those have no restrictions for females in frontline combat roles. Doesn't the US congress still dissallow that? And the closest groundpounders can get to anything is with the MP's?

There were women in COD 2, Russian mission, didn't really notice it at first. But yeah they're probably all in the kit-... :v:

Ugh this again, the reason as DICE explained it was that they would have to animate the women models to be different from the mens. This means 2x as long to release and more money spent and a small frame would give players an advantage.

Didn't we already have some big discussion on this and it all eventually boiled down to the fact that they were too fucking lazy to make an entirely new body model? Since with the males, for the most part it was copy paste faces onto the same body.

In the second one you kill female civilians, in the first one you carry a wounded woman around on your back. Pattern much?

It's because modeling/texturing/voicing/animating female models isn't worth the money it would take to do it.

Female models are in Black Ops.

I'm fairly sure that in the UK, women are not allowed on the front lines of combat as an actual soldier. You get women bomb diffusers and stuff, but the front line troops are always men. If this is the same in the US, then that is probably why.

Fuck that, we need some more black player models in games in general. The only black people to play as in Red Dead Redemption are listed in the "Criminals" section and the other one who looks like a fucking drunk slave is in Walton's Gang. Pisses me off.
