Well the computer I have been using is very old,and I have had it since the third grade. It couldn't play games. So now finally, after all these years, I'm getting a new one in a few hours. What are some nice games you guys suggest I can play?
Free games would be nice, thanks, since I don't have a credit card to buy games through "Steam"
Thanks again,
Crysis, if you want some eyecandy.
Also, what are the computers specs ?
STALKER ,World in Conflict , Torchlight , Modern Warfare 2 , Battlefield 2 , Fallout 3, Oblivion, Silent Hunter 3 , Red Orchestra.
Battle Forge is a free RTS card game, but you have to pay or just play a ton if you want the best cards.
Stranded II is a nice free survival simulation type game where you land on an island with some bandages and a little food, and that's it.
Sign up at this polish site and you can get free cd keys. The speedball one works with steam: http://www.cdaction.pl/seriale/
The stalker series, Modern Warfare 2, Warcraft 3 (kind of old but good), Company of Heroes, Fallout 3 (can be any of them really)
And none of them are free, but they're all worth the money.
maplestory (people will rate me dumb qq but it's one of the must play free games for w/e reason), rumble fighter, dragonica, tales runner, ETC ETC SOME OthER STUFF
Mine just shipped from California last night, expected to be here on the 5th of January
First game I'm getting is Arma 2, if you're into realism and Coop I suggest this, I'm probably going to pick up Track IR as well

Why a 250? :S
Awesome rig though.
From the posts, it seems most the good games are all money required.
is there another way to buy these games without a credit card?
Like a prepaid card or something?

I think a prepaid card or going to the store and getting it works.
Yep.
If you go to a regular store and buy one of those Visa gift cards they work on STEAM as a credit card.
EDIT:
Damn, ninja'd. :(
Also, would I need a mic to play these games?
I've seen people using mics to play some , but i'm not sure myself.
Thanks again, it's good to know facepunch can be helpful at times.

Mirror's Edge, Assassin's Creed.
Gts 250 isn't really a powerful card. IMO you should really consider buying another PC.

Nice, but you should have dumped the i7 get an i5 then use the money to get a better card. But that computer will run most games on high without problem anyway.

Should've got a 5xxx series ATI card.
Past that it's a sexy-as-hell beast.
Pairing an i7 with a GTS250 is like drinking kool-aid while eating caviar
